money and refuses to give me my part!! It has been months now!!!!

JG Wells roofing hired us as subcontractors, made us work for 12 full days and didn’t pay us.
Will remove this review after getting paid.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My wife and I woke yesterday morning to start our day as usual, however we would soon realize that our kitchen was flooding with water, and it seemed to be coming from the ceiling.
Having Justin's business card as he did our neighbours roof in the British properites last fall , I knew immediately who I would call. I called the number on the business card at 6:55am Saturday morning . Justin answered directly, I explained to him what my concerns was and the issue upon us, he never hesitated for a second. He said '' Joe, ill be right there "
7:20 am Justin shows up with a service technicain . Within one hour the leak had stopped and everything was under control ! The best thing about all of this was, minimal damage occured inside because they were so quick to respond, really impressed and glad to have called them .
For a Saturday morning emergency leak call, Justin was also really well priced and had great knowledge of the industry.
Justin, and his company also provided me with an estimate to complete the section of the roof that has been causing the issue.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We signed a shingle roof installation contract with Justin Wells on April 30th, 2020 and paid him a $500 deposit. We planned for May 2020 installation, but that never happened, and then we planned for July 25, 2020 installation and he no-showed. Since August, we have been trying to contact Justin to get our deposit back and he barely responds - blows us off - and has not returned our money (today is September 13, 2020)
We will update our Google review when our $500 deposit is returned.
UPDATE: within 15 minutes of this post, we got our deposit via etransfer. Thank you, Justin. I'm changing from 1-star to 3-star (neutral rating?) because this is finally resolved. We understand the COVID situation, but this doesn't mean we are left in the dark for months thinking we got ripped off.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Gave Justin deposit end of February 2021.Work to be started i n 3 days ...never happened ...Eventually shingles showed up only to sit on roof for 2 weeks. Cancellation after cancellation. Months later work finished....Now October and he is still cancelling out finishing contract of cleaning gutters. When I was handing him the money he said gutters were done and pictures would be sent to me...Apparently they did not turn out. Gutters are pouring water when it rains. Said they would come and clean them many times. I have had last cancellation on October 3 2021 then I was cut off his facebook and messenger. His excuses are my roof was so bad from neglect and gutters are old. lol.. Gutters were checked and are full of the roof and nails and a few other metal objects. Damaged neighbors houses on each side and had to clean them. Broke several things and knocked off money but can not replace objects . Threatened to cancel my contract at beginning because I was complaining of him never coming on so many dates he gave me...Headache after headache and now he shuts me down because I am complaining too much. I hope he has a license because the better business bureau does not have a record of him and the building which he advertises appears to only be a post office box on Londsdale Ave. according to Vancouver licensing....so here I found a place to complain...if he gets nasty with me I will write and give another review of what happened .

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Warning! do yourself a favour and stay away from this company. Doesnt show up on dates set. over promises under delivers. Took almost 5 months to complete upon giving a 25% deposit. and the process was painful. delays on delays and he makes his problems your problems. every excuse in the book for answers. shortage of materials with a wrong measurements setbacks. it's embarrassing watching your neighbors roof done from start to finish within a week from an actual professional company and having our roof done in months.
runied our whole summer schedule from this company. quality of work in the end was not good. roof still not draining properly and he says he wowuldnt know until it rains. what a joke
