I was struggling to stay positive and optimistic and have a life along with school, the city felt cold and I really missed home. I was recommended to visit Jericho Counselling by a professor of mine; she stressed the importance of mental health and I hadn’t realized that I needed that help. Jericho Counselling has been helpful since the first time I emailed them, they have a great counselling program and sliding scale fees which really helps being away from home trying to make it in this city. I can email them any time and always get a fast response. If you need someone to talk to check them out!
P	Paul Andreson on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I visited my first ever counselor Noa for 1+ years to deal with childhood trauma, anxiety and grief counselling and didn't have point of reference until recent time if anything was wrong. I had to deal with 4 deaths in the recent time and was repeatedly asking her to help me processing it. Unfortunately due to my unusual relationship dynamic Noa decided that it was more important to talk about that instead and to coach me out of that relationship repeatedly asking me to consider ending the relationship with my caring, supportive through all partner of 3 years instead of helping me deal with big issues that I came to her with. On 4 different occasions I asked for some homework - exercises to do, books to read, anything really to help with anxiety and grief and got nothing - was told that she had hard time recommeing anything and we can just talk it out. When I told my friends and my partner about it they shared that story with their own counselors (3 different people) and all 3 of them were saying that the approach Noa was taking was completely unethical and was leading me to breaking down my support network and guarantee a paycheck for her not my healing. It took my partner's counsellor 5 minutes to find for me a very famous 500 page anxiety workbook. I am completely baffled why it was so hard for her to do the same after multiple direct requsts. Tldr: using unethical practices to guarantee a paycheck.
