★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Risman's "analysis" of my "Asperger's" costed me a $75,000 job (I was on the verge of beginning my training). "Dr." Risman's inchoate wisdom, he taught me that the world is capable of screwing a person anywhere, anyhow, especially when they least expect it--like going to a psychiatrist for help when you're most vulnerable. Ironically, the ancient Greek root of "psychiatry" is roughly "medicine of the soul."
In conclusion if I were asked the difference between taking "Dr." Risman sessions every day or drinking myself silly every night, I would say that at least the latter's bartender would tend to give better advice on average, the experience would be cheerful notwithstanding mornings and you wouldn't have to worry about a permanent (job refusing) stigma attached to your personal record.
Only a truly sick person makes a living by screwing over vulnerable people. Mr. Risman should have himself checked for psychopathy.
