For a mid-tier eatery, it rates a 4.5. We will return again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wow! What a surprise to find a nice restaurant in Kamloops. I’m very pleased with our lunch set , everything tasted delicious and fresh. Cutlet is a must try, I only tried the udon soup which wasn’t much special but still good . Maybe I must try their yakiudon noodles next time. Service was good , friendly servers. I would definitely come back maybe on the way back home to Vancouver

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What a wonderful new experience! The staff are very friendly and professional and the food is on another level. The chefs display a professional and impressive attention to detail without compromising flavours.
I ordered the Asahi beer and Takoyaki as a starter since I have always wanted to try them. The presentation was quite beautiful with the fish flakes dancing from the heat, adding a nice smoky/salty balance to the sweetness of the octopus and Japanese mayo. The Takoyaki dough was crispy on the outside and pleasantly soft in the middle.
For the main, I ordered the Pork Cutlet (Tonkatsu) that came with two wonderfully crispy fried cutlets served with a miso soup (that was smoky and not too salty), a refreshing salad, clean rice, a mortar and pestle with sesame seeds (that add a unique presentation and wonderful pop of flavor to the dish), and finally two unique tonkatsu sauces that are apparently a chef’s specialty secret!
There are many options and always something new to try! Can’t wait to come back.
