O	Orelie on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The restaurant is located on a beautiful relaxing area of the island. It’s has a lowkey Canadian costal island feel to it. The food was standard pub food and reasonably priced for Toronto standards. They did have vegan options, juices and kombucha too which was nice. However, I have deducted three stars because the service was slow and very inattentive bordering on rude. I think this may be the worst service I’ve ever had in Toronto and I am a frequent flier at restaurants in the city eating out at minimum weekly to several times a week. Our server messed up one of our orders and only came to check on us once. None of the other servers or staff even made eye contact with us or checked in either which is sometimes the case in restaurants when your server is busy. The service was so bad that we sat with empty drinks and dirty dishes at our table for 30+ minutes (see photo). The strange thing is that some tables next to us did get somewhat better service (although still relatively slow). Guests that arrived after us were cleared first and more promptly. We generally felt quite uncomfortable and unwelcome at the restaurant. The space appears to be inclusive in some aspects but certainly not in all aspects. I do not recommend this establishment if you are BIPOC.
Q	Quinn Venable on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My partner and I LOVED our experience at Island Cafe. We were seated beside one of the kale gardens facing the water, and found the atmosphere very relaxing. We sat in silence for most of the meal enjoying our surroundings. I had their kombucha and vegan wrap. I found both very delicious and reasonably priced. Most of the staff were kind and attentive. Both my partner and I noticed some tension between management and staff. In two instances we heard management make passive aggressive remarks to staff members which was a little off putting. After our meal we shared a turmeric popsicle, which was unique and refreshing. We will definitely be back!

A	A Dawn on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Bit slow, but good service. I enjoy this place not for foods or drinks, but for the the experience it offers. You will feel like in a café in the Caribbean - it has that tropical vibes. There are outdoor sitting spaces as well.

Amazing patio and very friendly staff. We ordered Fish and Chips and Mussels with bread. Their bread is amazing. All the drinks are good too. Highly recommend this restaurant if you head to the Islands for bikings or water activities.

Cutest cafe in the heart of Ward Island, with great selection of hot and cold drinks, and very kind staff. Lots of cute benches and seats available; moreover, you’re surrounded with sunflowers and other beautiful flowers and trees. Not to mention you can see CN tower while sipping on your lemonade or latte.
S	Samantha Kotyck on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Spontaneously popped over to the island for dinner a few weeks ago, I grabbed the vegan burger and my boyfriend got the fish and chips. Although the food was nothing special, I would return for just the atmosphere and service ❤️. Their patio faces the sun set over the lake and it’s a very short walk from the ferry port. Our server was Owen, and he was hustling through all the tables while having a positive attitude and delivering great service - he was literally the best! Would def return!!
