★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We have been visiting the drag races on August long weekend for years. Usually good, but Sunday was a bust. The track was in poor shape. People had their vehicles up to the fence with their big umbrellas. We could not see the finish line. The PA system was horrible. All you hear was echos. Worst of all the jet cars didn't perform because of mechanical issues. Won't be going next year.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The sight of the Gimli glider excited my father, but we were both amazed by the roar of the engines roaring past, and the striped old mixed cars are great to watch too. We didn't race, but just coming to watch is an experience in itself. In a town like Gimli, it is a must go.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 60$ for racers, lineups aren't too long, there is a concession stand, and 2 washrooms, track prep is decent, and tech is pretty fast. You need a helmet for under 14 second cars and a fire jacket and roll cage for 11.49 and faster cars. People are pretty friendly and no one cares if you bring your grocery getter to have some fun.

But people still have fun

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This was my first time ever to race a car down the track, and I all can say it was THE BEST TIME I have ever experienced. The staff at the event were incredibly helpful and supportive! My stepson and I will be back for more fun filled mories!!?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great place to take the family walk around through the pits and see the cars and talk to the drivers girl super friendly and ready to share their enthusiasm for the sport. Also great food at The Snack Shack. Go spend the day but don't forget your earplugs!
