★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I was looking for support in helping me get through the grief of a loved one. I could barely function with the sudden loss of my partner and wasn’t sure how to move forward. In all honesty, I don’t think I was even thinking straight. I went to Interactive Counselling for someone who doesn’t know me to guide me through the most painful journey I had ever been on. Through many tears, countless tissues, and a great amount of work; I have come to learn to live without my partner. I have built an identity for myself outside of my marriage and made new goals that are based on my wants and needs. I’m at a place I never thought I could get to after experiencing such a significant and life changing lost.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I highly recommend Interactive Counselling for mental health support. Whether you are experiencing depression, anxiety, stress or trauma, their Counsellors can help. My experience has been filled with support, compassion and understanding. The knowledge that the Counsellors have is immense. All of the Counsellors know who I am, even the ones who don’t see me. Interactive Counselling makes me feel appreciated, supported, and honestly cared for.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you’re looking for a Counsellor, look for Michaela! She is amazing, supportive, and created such a change in mine and my fiancés world. We had a few consistent problems that kept coming up no matter how hard we tried, and we wanted to have them solved prior to getting married. Not only were they solved with Michaela’s assistance, but we were also given tools in communication which will help us in the future. We feel so prepared, strong, and excited for our wedding now.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My teenage daughter has been struggling at school, especially since Covid. I reached out to Interactive Counselling for help and picked Michaela for her. I did a session with Michaela to start, to go over what was happening at home and expressing my concerns. I felt so validated and supported by Michaela, and the reassurance that she would care for my daughter was immediate. My daughter has been seeing Michaela for a few months now and the change we have seen is nothing short of amazing. You can tell that she feels more herself and is trying new things. I am shocked at how a few parenting changes that were encouraged my Michaela on my end, and the sessions that my daughter is having with Michaela, has completely changed the dynamic of the home. I highly recommend if you are concerned about your child, to reach out to Interactive Counselling (Michaela especially) for assistance! As it does take a village to raise a happy, healthy child!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My partner and I have attended Counselling with Amy both as a couple and as individuals. We weren’t sure what to expect in attending counselling, but we knew something had to change, so put in a last ditch try by seeing Amy. It was surprising how something that felt SO big to us, broken down was quite simple. We learned how the way we were raised impacted our relationship with each other. Doing the work on ourselves individually has made couples counselling so much easier. We highly recommend Amy to any person, both individually and as a couple.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Interactive Counselling is a counselling practice that I have never experienced before. I felt welcomed by all Counsellors when I walked into the office, immediately asking if I wanted water, tea, coffee. It was such a friendly atmosphere immediately which helped reduce my fear and anxiety when going to my first session. I actually look forward to going to therapy now because I find that I work on myself a lot, but I also celebrate my wins with all of the staff, and they genuinely care. I was warned that I will never be alone again once I come to Interactive Counselling, and how great is that!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I originally picked Interactive Counselling because it is located in Glenmore which is just a short walk away from my house. Little did I know that it would be one of the best experiences ever. I went from being anxious on the walk to actually looking forward to going! Even when I worked out of town I just moved my sessions to online so it was super easy! I didn’t ever think to do both online and in office sessions, but it added an element of being flexible but also extremely personable. I connected with my Counsellor right away, and was able to dig into my past which shed light on a lot of my current behaviours. I am very hopeful for my future now and with the support of my Counsellor have made a lot of positive and significant changes in my life.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I was looking for someone who works differently than just the “how does that make you feel” type of Counsellor. I wasn’t looking for someone to tell me I was right, or just to “actively listen” to me. I wanted change and I was ready to work for it. Boy did I find the right fit when I picked Amy to be my Counsellor. She is the accountability Queen and is an extremely skilled Counsellor. She is lovingly honest, and you can tell how much she cares about her clients right away. She immediately became my number one fan; I swear she wanted me to be successful in my mental health more than I did. She drove me to decide on my value system, build boundaries, stick to my boundaries, and make goals for my future. Amy also helped me with my dating life which has historically been a disaster. I now understand healthy dating, my worth and values that I bring to a relationship and feel stronger all around. I went into counselling knowing that I wanted to make changes but with Amy’s help I even exceeded my own expectations. Thanks Amy!
