★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have been a client of the Laval store for quite a while and it’s time for me to pay my respects. That store is simply outstanding ! I have bought a lot of stuff there over the years, from picks, strings and cables to pedals, basses, guitars, amps and keyboards with various cases, preamps, mics, headphones and whatnot in between… lots of stuff ! My most recent purchases are a Zoom LiveTrack L-12 mixer (which is awesome) and a beautiful Gibson Southern Jumbo acoustic guitar they got for me from another branch. I even got the chance to attend a very interesting home recording workshop at one point, which was very helpful in setting up my own little home studio.
The gear is all good and fine, but the impeccable service warmly provided by the nice folks working in the Laval store is what’s making the real difference. Biagio in particular has been quite helpful over the years, providing the right gear and advice for longer I can remember. He’s been involved in most if not all my purchases and certainly all the most important ones and I firmly believe I became a better bassplayer and musician just by talking with him, asking questions about gear and just talking about music in general. He turned me on Traynor bass amplification, which I now use exclusively (I own 2 DNB 115s, 1 TC1510 and an old DynaBass 800H, all coming from Long and McQuade) and A.R.T. preamps. He also recommended a mod for my Jazz basses, which has proven to be somewhat of a game-changer for me.
So to Biagio and all the guys from Laval, thanks for being there, especially during these challenging times ! I call my visits at the Long and McQuade Laval store my 30 minutes of sanity and rightfully so :-).

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good selection of various musical instruments. I've seen larger guitar selections but can't complain as I found what I was looking for which was a nice ukulele: Kala concert with exotic mahogany.
Service was excellent and absolutely no pressure to close the sale.
