He is attentive to your concerns and educates you about indoor air quality in a straightforward way. He carries out a thorough inspection to identify the source of your problems, then explains a variety of potential solutions. He is also very organized; he is punctual and has all his equipment ready, so everything can get done within a specific time frame. His written report is clear, detailed, and demonstrates his high degree of knowledge. Shawn is very compassionate and kind. His secretary, Marie, is also supportive and has great telephone etiquette. Thanks for everything!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had an inspection this morning. It greatly exceeded my expectations. Shawn was extremely knowledgeable and clearly had a lot of experience. He identified moisture issues in the basement and gave me a list of good solutions. I have previously done lots of research on the internet, and I definitely felt I obtained way more valuable information by having someone with years of building experience inspect my home. Down the line I feel this will be a huge money saver because he gave me tips on good products and what to look out for.

Shawn (the owner) was very knowledgeable in his field and thus gave me some strategic directions for my basement project that dramatically improved the air quality in my house. In addition, as I was going through the multiple phases of my project, I was consulting with Shawn and he was very responsive and amazingly helpful. Based on my experience, I would really say that the money I paid for his service was worth every single penny! I highly recommend his company (IAQ). Thank you so much Shawn.

Courteous, quick but thorough, no-nonsense service, and even compassionate I might surprisingly add. Very informative. I had mostly good news, and that was good to have professional confirmation of that, but the bad news were very enlightening, with useful actionable recommendations. I'm now in a position to maximize my home's potential for optimal health for my whole family. So I recommend them very highly! Thank you IAQ Ottawa!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I was advised that the initial $400 inspection would cover all aspects of air quality. Phillipe took 4 samples of air at my home to test for mold. At no point was I told there was an additional $150 charge per air sample (you would think this is part of air quality). In the end my bill was over $1000. Phillipe also referred me to his own company for remediation work - the exact conflict of interest their own website advertises against.
Extremely expensive, conflicts of interest in the recommendations, I recommend using another company.
I will leave this review up because my request for work came from your company. Also Phillipe is listed as an inspector of your website. Very shady response. DO NOT USE this company.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We where having strong odours coming from our basement every time were at the cottage, and couldn't find the source. We called Indoor Air Quality Ottawa, the were quick to response. Shawn, the inspector, drove an hours drive, and came onsite to give his experts opinion. We soon found out hat we had a water infiltration and also mould in one of our walls. Shawn was kind enough to give us advice about how this issue should be handled. We would like to thank Shawn and his team for their quick and professional service.
