Besides providing exciting fishing and hunting for the avid sportsperson, Indiaonta, the only resort on Calm Lake, is also oriented for a summer vacation for the entire family-“fun in the sun”- a safe, sandy beach with a sauna, swimming, water-skiing, boating, wilderness adventures, and picturesque scenery for the camera enthusiast and peaceful hiking.
Drive-To Fishing Resort
Park your car beside your cabin for comfort and easy accessibility. Visit the nearby town of Atikokan for an afternoon of shopping, golfing, dining, museum or just spend an evening at the lodge in our game room or lounge.
Fine Fishing
Calm Lake, is our home lake and is approximately 18 sq. mi. in area or about 11 miles long by 4 and a half miles wide. The lake is fed by the Seine River and offers a variety of fish.
Fish for Northern Pike, Walleye, Smallmouth Bass, with Lake Trout found at nearby lakes.
Modern Lakeside Cabins
There are 10 cabin units ranging from one to four bedroom units that have a lake view. Cabins have air-conditioning, Satellite TV/WIFI, fully equipped kitchen and indoor bathroom facilities with showers.
Campsites
Seasonal and weekly campsites available. We offer both electric and and non-electric campsites to accommodate small to large campers. We also offer a tent camping area. All campsites come with picnic table, fire ring, and dock slip. Propane gas bbq’s can be provided upon request.
Boats and Motors.
Lund boats with swivel seats and back rests and our Yamaha motors are well-maintained to ensure trouble-free fishing trips. Guests may bring their own boats, we have electricity at the docks, so all you need to bring is an extension cord! Gas for outboard motors is also available.

How to Reach Us
By car from Fort Frances or International Falls, MN, drive east 62 miles on Highway 11, north 3 miles on Flanders Road. From Pigeon River, MN take Highway 61 to Thunder Bay to Highway 17. Turn west on Highway 11, drive 27 miles west of Atikokan, north 3 miles on Flanders Road to our Resort.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Not sure why someone would complain about not receiving a non-refundable deposit for not fulfilling their commitment to stay. I'd question the sensibility of any business owner that had a practice of refunding non-refundable deposits, with the exception of an emergency of course.
My dad took me to this resort for the first time when I was 10. That was in 1967. To this very day, I bring my family to Indiaonta every year. In my view, there is no reason to go anywhere else. The resort is gorgeous, the lake is pristine, and the new owners are terrific. We always have a great time, and are especially thankful we get the opportunity to vacation there annually. For us, this is the perfect place. The price is fair, it has all the right amenities, good fishing, great people, and it's peaceful. What else would anyone in their right mind want?
