The dishes are always beautifully prepared and so generous and absolutely delicious. It is so great to have had this amazing family owned restaurant open in our neighborhood.

I'm Algerian so I know Algerian food and I'm telling you it's such a hidden gem because on the outside it looks simple amd cute but the inside is like getting on plane straight to Algeria. First of all - the vibe is like being in Algiers on a Friday night with family. Second of all - the owners are so kind and caring and put in so much love and effort in making sure the food is quite right to your tast. and THIRD OF ALL - It's like your algerian mom lives in their kitchen. The portions are huge, you're definitely getting your money's worth. And the variety on the menu is so representative of the variety in Algerian cuisine. The taste - the best part - the taste is just out of this world. For how fadt they are at making food I'm shocked how it tastes as if they took hours. Every dish we ordered was cooked fo perfection - the meat is so tender and well seasoned. Their vegetarian dishes are succulent, they have their own merit. And the presentation is adorable, i love the tajine dishes. I went with my baby and sister, and we ordered their tajine, and mhajeb, and soup, and bourek, and reshta. It was more food than we could eat but we were so hapoy to take it to go for the next day's lunch/supper. The best part is their desserts and authentic algerian style soda brands (selecto, orangina etc.) Waw just waw. We left feeling so full and happy from the whole experience. I give it a year or so before this place makes it big in Ottawa - this is a real ottawa gem! I drove from out of town to come here, and I'd do it again.
J	J Sun on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ordered takeout a few months ago. The food is very good but portions were small given the prices. $16 for the kafta plate just wasn't worth it. The eggplant gratin also very good but tiny portion for $17.

The couple that own and manage Idris were wonderful both in responding to our questions email and in welcoming me when I arrived for our takeout. This was our first experience of Algerian Cuisine. We loved it and are looking forward to the next time.

It's amazing, I don't know what spices that they put in it but WOW... I'm actually from the Toronto area and when I go to Ottawa to visit family I buy the spaghetti every time. When my family visits me they bring it for me. The couple that owns the restaurant are so kind and humble. I would recommend to anyone. Love it.

We ordered the chakchouka breakfast, veggie bourak, kafta tajine, mint tea and strawberry pie. We were not disappointed! Everything tasted so good, fresh ingredients and also a wonderful staff. The only thing I would note is that if you have a fragrance or perfume allergy, this place would be difficult for you to sit inside. Other than that, perfect!

We stopped here bc it was close when we were running errands and it's now going to be my go to even though it's out of the way! I can't decide if my dish or my husband's dish was more delicious!
V	Victor Avila on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is an awesome place. I am here almost every single week! The staff is amazing and super welcoming and accommodating. I am not Algerian and never been in the Middle East but I love this place! The services are good sized. I like the Tajine and Gratin. They look super big in the menu but do not get intimidated. It is a generous portion but definitely doable for one person. Also the coffee is great!
