I side swiped, a car in Montreal and the alignment got messed up. I needed to get it fixed asap. I went to Ideal Alignement they charged me over CAD 500. The mechanic told me he needed to replace wheek knuckle and tie rod, before he can do the alignment. Today I went to a shop in Wisconsin and they told me that the tie rod needs to be replaced and it would cost me $400. They said that the tire rod was either never replaced or replaced with a defective part. I do not know much about cars so I trusted these guys only to be severely disappointed. Update: After I showed the paperwork from Ideal Alignement to the Sears Auto, they told me that the inner tie rod was damaged, not the outer one that Ideal Alignement replaced... Regardless, I paid $500 to get my car fixed and they should have taken care of all Alignement issues.. I don't know much about cars, but for a third party shop to point out something in the same spot, that was affected by a fender bender, without even me mentioning it to them, raised real concerns about the service at Ideal Alignement...I just want to point out that the mechanic at Ideal Alignement was very nice and courteous .. I just feel that maybe he should have been more thorough...

Super rude mechanic ,it was my first time coming to this place and i parked in a place he didn’t like and he was furious about, i dont know anything about the quality of the service, but i know im not going to let a guy with such manners work on my car ,the receptionist was helpful and friendly.

Awesome! They don't just provide the service you pay for, they go way beyond expectations! I've used their services twice. The first time they did they alignement and diagnosed some other issue with the suspension. My car had some other mechanical issue and one of their guys came by, did some magic and enabled me to get back home. A few weeks ago I had to align the wheels on another car. They were almost done when they realized that one of the tie rods was not the right type. They allowed me to come back (once the tie rod was replaced) and finished the alignment for free.

Quick and easy service, brought both my cars in for an alignment. Always be sure to get an alignment after steering components have been replaced. Also remember to replace worn steering components before getting alignment.

I have always taken great care of my summer mags and knew they dont have a single scratch. I wash and polish my own car all the time so I know every details and defects. However, after going to that garage for a winter wheel install, I noticed through the garage window that the owner and his employee dropped one of my mag right on the face. He then putted the mag back in the trunk and never mentionned anything about the accident hoping I haven't seen anything. I was hopping the mag was ok. Once back home I opened the trunk and noticed the mag was full of scratches on the border so I came back to the garage and showed to him what happened. I was very polite when speaking to him but he suddenly became very rude. He claims that it's normal that my mag has scratches since everybody hit the the sidewalk all the time. He also add that he couldn't be responsible for the scratches because it was my fault. Furthermore to the accident, I noticed that he did not rotate my winter wheel properly on the left side of my car. The newer tire was supposed to be in front. He then visually inspected the tires (without any device) and said it was totally perfect. He said the rotation was done properly. I responded that I have a thread wear measuring device in my car and it clearly indicates that one of the newer tires was installed in the back. I asked him to use the device in order to have a proper conclusion of the work. He then refused saying he has no time to use the device. He became more and more loud saying that I was way too picky and that I would never be happy in life if I always pick on little things. He then refused to do anything to accomodate with my deception and just gave me the key back. The owner seemed friendly and professionnel the first few time I came their but suddenly changed his attitude. I was very shocked. I now have to go to another garage to get the rotation done properly and also get my mag repaired. He has just lost a customer.
