Ian Le MD - Calgary

I had a very significant ankle injury & the surgeon on shift did not want to operate on it. I was told Dr. Le was the best & I waited in hospital for a few days till he was available. He did a fantastic job & 6 months later I have almost full range of motion in that ankle & no pain.

I was in an automobile accident. Left leg was severely damaged. I had completed all my bone surgeries and was still having a problem with basic movement in my left ankle and foot. It seemed like there was something skeletal that was impeding me. Dr. Lee figured out what was going on - my Achilles Tendon had basically healed itself to the bone. He went in and released the tendon from both the bone and all the scar tissue that had built up in my ankle/leg. I have better than 90 degree movement now. I'm walking without a brace, crutches or even a cane. Something I never thought possible for me. Even the overall health of my foot has improved. Better overall blood flow and less nerve problems too. Thank you Dr. Le.

I broke my patella into several pieces a year ago and had a few surgeons not want to operate because of the complexity of the break. Dr Le took on the challenge and a piece of metal, 13 screws and a year later I have no pain and full range of motion. I can’t thank Dr Le enough for the great job he did fixing me up

I had a very wonderful experience with Dr. Le. His approach and words of assurance is second to none. My mom-in-law fractured her right femur just above the knee but she was able to attain about 90% of her mobility just 2 months after the surgery done by Dr. Le. She has no complication and Dr LE was there with us all through the journey with his professional guidance. Thanks a lot Dr.

Dr Lee is a thorough professional and knows what he is doing. I broke my heel and he put 6 screws and a plate to put it back together. I am 11 weeks post my surgery and getting better each day. I dont know what would have happened to me if he wasnt there. I have two little children so it was very important for me to get back to my feet. Post the surgery, he also called my husband to inform how it went. May god always bless him. Exactly 6 months post my surgery, I am jooging, running little distances, squatting,jumping everything. He is the best out here. My pain is almost gone even though my injury was very critical.

Would like to thank Dr. Ian Le for the amazing work. Had my ankle replaced October 15th 2020. I had so much pain with Rheumatoid Arthritis I thought that I would have to walk with a cane all the time. It is the best thing I have ever gotten done.

I broke my ankle November 21 2017 during a hockey accident. My Tib and Fit both shattered in too many pieces to count, the local surgeon in Medicine Hat said he did not want to operate and wanted to send me to the best guy he knows of in the province, nurses in the hospital told my wife later they thought I was going to lose my foot. After reducing the fracture I got airlifted to Calgary, eventually meeting a confident Dr.Le. At any age this was a serious injury, I was 40 and wondering what my recovery would be? I’m an active guy was my lifestyle over? After surgery I spent 10 days in hospital seeing Dr Le several times, he said it would take years to feel like myself and it was up to me now, he said work hard do what you did when you can push yourself (best advice I’ve ever got). I stayed away from prescription painkillers took his advice on exercise used Tylenol and Advil in conjunction for pain. I was back about 80% with hardware, played a little hockey went skiing but there was pain, I wanted more. I went to see him and he removed my 13 pins and 3 plates almost 3 years later. I don’t need any painkillers anymore (20 days after surgery) and was skiing Black moguls at 43 years old-2 months after removal, I even forgot which ankle broke for the first time yesterday. My GP and the local orthopaedic surgeon are amazed where I am at. I won the lotto getting this guy, just do what he says!! Thanks Dr Ian Le!

Dr. Le was amazing!! He was very friendly and professional. He explained everything about the break in my wrist and the procedure he was performing (two plates and a dozen screws later) and he took the time to answer all my questions. I felt very comfortable with the plan that was made and my prognosis. I am happy to say that I am on my way to a 100% recovery. Thank you Dr. Le!!
