N	N on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hospital was 'OK' but the staff is another story. I know some members of the public can be frustrating to deal with and I accept that the nurses may need to be a bit stern. HOWEVER the hospital makes clear that harassing staff or being rude can get you ejected from the hospital....so how about the staff? If the same rule applied to the workers the hospital wouldn't have half the staff left. I saw this poor old lady get treated like c**p by the staff, elderly lady on her own and was as sweet as can be but the staff talked to her like she was disturbing them, at least be polite to her! Staff attitudes are atrocious and to think sick people come here is concerning, last thing they want is to be talked to like an idiot.
P	Pinar Inci on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hospital is amazing people are helpful - if you have an appointment. My first time in the emergency was horrible with 9 hour wait time. But that is more the health systems fault I think because people were still trying their best in that kind of a situation.

I pushed the emergency button for a nurse. She showed up after a while. I explained to her I was concerned about my baby breathing. She said it's normal and I shouldn't be concerned. She gave me attitude and was annoyed that I had pushed the urgent button. Shortly after she left. My daughter ended up turning blue and starting suffocating. I had to run down the hall screaming for help when a doctor grabbed her and had to open her airways they were blocked with mucus. My baby was not able to breath and I was in the process of leaving the hospital. The nurse didn't even follow up after the incident. What a disgrace. I wish I remembered her name to warn you all. This was November 12 2019. I do remember she was blonde.
L	Liam McCann on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This was the worst medical facility I've been to in this city. I was taken there on an ambulance trip because of a fever and suspected COVID-19. When I got to emergency room, there was only one staff member seemingly on duty. People were sleeping on the hard concrete floors with no mattresses. It was crowded. I slept on the ground for four hours, only to be condescendingly told by the staff member, that it was in fact a twelve hour wait. I pointed out that nobody had told me this, or even what my condition was. Again, she patronizingly told me that to do so was "not our job". I received no help, not even a COVID-19 test. They also made no effort to isolate me from the other patients, due to my symptoms. Nor did they give me a new mask, because I had taken one that was obviously dirty in my hurry to reach the ambulance. So anyway, after about four hours, I simply left. I felt insulted, and my head and joint pain had by then come back. So, I left. Having gotten zero tangible assistance. If you want to feel more sick and stressed than you already are, this is the best hospital for you. If you want half-decent ER care though, go to the Ottawa Hospital (one of its campuses, that is). Don't waste your time with this place, they have no business taking emergency patients.

I called the mental health unit in the morning and was told to bring my friend to emergency as that is the only way she could get admitted. The nurse I spoke with said it was a good idea if I came with her so I could explain what I’ve been noticing as she’s been very disoriented and might not be able to communicate it herself. After finally getting her to agree to see someone, we get to the entrance and told I can’t stay and wait because of covid procedures. I continued to call and ask for updates, and was told the doctor would call me when she was seen. I was told to call back in the morning to check on her, only to be told that they discharged her and the only way they would keep her is if she confessed to being suicidal, or ambulance bring her in. This is unacceptable. You can not expect someone who is completely out of their mind to wait 10+ hours alone in emergency to be able to clearly communicate what is going on with them. Despite all my efforts and numerous calls, explaining she’s having severe hallucinations and needs to be admitted, she was sent home. How does anyone get mental health care in this city? Please let me know.
L	Laxmi Bhutani on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My worst experience ever of a hospital.. I was referred by my family doctor to immediately visit ER due to possible pneumonia and asthma issue. They made me sit for already 8 hours still counting. ER people telling approx 12.45 hours waiting time there are other people before you. My question is - if Covid didn’t teach you better management than what will? Hopeless place … I feel much worse now but can’t leave as my family doctor wants me to go to ER.
F	Fatima Zahra MECHYAKHA on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Honestly I just wanted to share my opinion about Monfort Hospital so far ! I was told that they will induce me on Wednesday as I’ve been on the priority list. I’ve been calling and they said it takes between 24h to 48h to get induced. I waited for their call and nothing. I’m calling this morning and still nothing but you’ll have to wait… so disappointed about their service so far if they don’t have a clear visibility about their timeline, they should stop promising people things. The only organized birth is the C section.
c	cordellia Goulet-blight on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What amazing experience went into emergency in the evening. Ended up needing surgery within less then 24 hours was seen by ER and had my surgery. Ever staff i encountered nurses, porters, surgeon they were all incredible super kind and I've never had better experience in a hospital.
