★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My name is Sean Slusarchuk, and in the spring of 1998 I found myself in the darkest place of my addictions. I had nowhere to turn, or so I thought, and I felt death was my only option. After a feeble attempt to rid myself from the world, I ended up in a downtown Vancouver detox facility. They fed me and helped me to clear my head, but also informed me that I needed to find a long term treatment facility to help me get better and become an active member of society again. After calling every number on the list they provided me with, and being turned down by every facility due to lack of funding among other criteria I couldn't fulfill, it was suggested that I call Hope for Freedom Society. For a minimal fee (meaning only room and board at best), and a promise from me to want to get healthy and commit a minimum of 3 months to following their program, I was given refuge from my demons and the tools of recovery which I use to this day. April 2nd/2018 will be my 20th anniversary of being clean and sober. If it were not for the compassion of Hope for Freedom and the program they provided me, I cannot say if I would be writing this review right now. What I do know is that my gratitude will be to them forever and when I meet those seeking to break the bonds of addiction, I don't hesitate to direct them to Hope for Freedom. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great rehabilitation facility. Real people helping real addicts. Well established in Port Coquitlam and for a good reason. Hope For Freedom Society is making a difference in people's lives and the surrounding communities. If you are sick and tired of being sick and tired Hope For Freedom Society is a great place to figure out how to put all the pieces of your life back together. There is hope for freedom from substance abuse. Help can be found here.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ When I first took a look at the HFFS, I completely underestimated it. Even with my little exp there am I really touched. One of the few companies that don't do it for money, but to help. :) The amount of work that has been put in just to help homeless or hurt people is amazing. They always do everything they need to do in order to keep them safe and healthy, and is super respectful. The community is super respectful. I came into one of the rooms where a group of people were having a meeting, and they were glad and super encouraging to me. I don't care what people say, they can make excuses about them being "religious" and having horrible services, but HFFS has NO holes. I love the stories that there are and what they've done to change people's lives. They turn drunks and addicts into loving, compassionate people by showing the same to them, and anybody no matter what. Super respectful to haters, super great impacts, and super awesome greatness

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I would just like to thank HFFS for poviding me a safe place to recover, meeting me with open arms and understanding. My experience from day one until now is that the Society is filled with caring, compassionate and loving indivuduals that work with you with your best interests at heart. I was in a bad way and needed structure however was also blessed with hope and faith which reignited my passion for Christ, recognizing again that who I am now, as I am is enough. Growth as a Christian and in the fellowship is my testimony, with their guidance it has also blessed my family with healing and restoration. Working on myself in a safe place I am now able to apply the 12 steps to my life and apply the spuritual principles in all area's of my life reflecting a healthy image for my wife, children and others that are fighting for life. If you are desperate for change and are in need of genuine help I highly recommend HFFS because they will lead you to self discovery, healing for positive change and I truly believe a desire to stay that way. Your worth every effort, God bless.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I attended Hope for Freedoms Glory House back in 2011, then again in 2019. I intend to return for a refresher course anyday now. It has been my experience, that my alcoholism was cured, but life happened anyways and addictive behaviours continued. I believe God can solve anything and wants to. So i put my faith in Him, and the goid people at Hope for Freedom. It works, if You work it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ As a client of hope for freedom I can’t say I ever heard screaming rats but I do hear a lot of good recovery: I’ve been here over 8 months and have nothing but respect for the staff and other clients. I’ve enjoyed 90% of my stay, the 10% was detoxing that I did not enjoy!! I found the house I’m in to be clean and very enjoyable. I hope to be here for a long time.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hope For Freedom Society saves the lives of hundreds of Addicts every year. I came to Glory House for Women 15 years ago next month & it changed my life & I have not looked back. I have worked for the Society for the last 14 years and have had the opportunity to help other addicts wanting to stay clean & have a better life. This is a gift to see people get their lives back & grow to become successful & happy. The society not only helps the suffering addict it works with & supports family members as well. Great place to come & get help & support.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Yesterday is my 1 year mark for being here. That also means I've been sober for 1year as well! Before coming here I was in rough shape, being stuck in addictions and poverty. I was hungry, angry, lonely and tired. Now ive gained weight, I'm happy, I'm surrounded by brothers and relaxed to be in a safe place. I learned alot. I'm really glad I came here. I even reconnected with my family. This is a place of faith and grace. I felt invisible until I came here. Lots of love here. This place is like a launching pad not a landing pad!
