Hope Christian School - Champion

I attended here for around 6 months. I can say that I have learnt nothing that I did not already know. There is absolutely NO guidance or help. Margaret Dart is extremely rude and unprofessional. Assignments go weeks, even months unmarked. Do not even think of turning to ask for help, or having a question of any sort. You will get a rude answer, as you are expected to know everything, and get zero direction or explanation on what is supposed to be done. Though you will get a rude uncalled for response. Margaret would not let me take an easier math (knowing that i do not need it for post secondary, and i told her many times math was my weak spot and i did not want to overwhelm myself). Her EXACT response was "if you want to be a nurse or go to college then no." from my personal experience, if you want to learn and further your education, most definitely do not attend here.

Other reviews regarding Dart is absolutely true. We have experienced the same: rudeness, lack of communication, lack of teaching, unmarked assignments for weeks/months. It's the end of the semester and nothing marked. This is the only teacher we had issues with. Management knows of her attitude and lack of leadership but hasn't done anything.

Our first year with Hope Christian School online... was a great experience! Very Nice Principle and Teachers from the lower grades right through high school. There was Excellent Communication. This school is well organized, their online setup works really well. I highly recommend Hope Christian School Online!

Mrs. Dart is amazing. I have read other negative reviews of her, but I can say that I really enjoyed her class and her teaching style.

Mrs. Dart is so rude. Ask her a question politely and she will respond in the most unprofessional matter, clearly giving you attitude. She creates such an unwelcoming environment and I'm literally scared to ask questions. Most of these reviews about her are so accurate. I had a great teacher on the other hand which is why I gave two stars (shoutout Mr. Lock).

I am not one to write reviews but it would be remiss for me to not express how incredibly thrilled our family has been with Hope Christian School! On the whole, our four farm kids (grade 11, grade 8, grade 4 and grade 4) just love school, their teachers, the structure and rhythm of their schooling and all that Hope Christian brings to their days... how can this even be SO true?!?! We are unspeakably grateful and wanted to be sure to take the time to let you know. You have an extremely good thing going here and we are among some of the most thankful recipients! I would like to express my extra thanks and admiration for Mrs. Dart. She is truly the PERFECT mix of winsome affection and firm teacher/guidance counsellor that teenagers need and our grade 11 hard working farm boy absolutely loves her and speaks very highly of her. She clearly has those high school students best interests at heart and works hard to see them stay on the necessary track for graduation - such a thankless task most days so we want to say thank YOU!! Additionally, my two delayed grade four learners have made progress that I wasn't even sure I should ever allow my heart to hope for. Given the structure and format of your school combined with our wonderful Mrs. Hilgartner, the fact is that our children's progress has FAR exceeded our hopes and expectations.

From junior high to high school…nothing but great experience from all teachers. Mrs. Harder my favourite ?awesome awesome teacher. Mrs. Dart no issues whatsoever very accommodating to my needs. Thank you. If you do your work on time and communicate with teachers, all are ready to help. There is no babysitting here, you are responsible for yourself. Best online school and to top off the benefits it is Christian.

Amazing school and staff. They are really compassionate. On all occasions they have been very supportive. Without their help my daughter would have a difficult time with her course. Truly the best school I have ever come across. Thank you Margaret for all your help. I look forward to my other children being a part of this caring school.
