Kyla is the proud owner of Honora Bay Riding Stable
She has 30-some horses, as well as Makita, her faithful canine companion.
When she's not busy guiding trail rides, you'll find her teaching riding lessons, mucking stalls, fixing fences, stacking hay, cutting trails, or doing her own farrier work.
Kyla is also a vital part of a growing equine community on Manitoulin Island.
Often using her own resources, Kyla brings other coaches and trainers to the island, continues her involvement with the pony club and organizes events such as first aid courses, saddle fitting clinics and horse shows, both Western and English.
You will undoubtedly get to meet Kyla when you are visiting the stable.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Extremely disappointed! It was a terrible experience. My daughters have never ridden a horse before. The owner was very condescending to both the kids and adults that were there. My daughter left in tears and does not want to ride a horse again. The costumer service was absolutely horrible!! The way the kids were treated was completely unacceptable!!!

We also didn't get to go on the wooded trail as promised on the website because of rain and went on side roads instead (disappointing but totally understandable). Overall a good experience and would go back

The horses are beautiful, incredibly well trained and well looked after. The trails are beautiful and fun. I highly recommend this place to anyone! I will be coming back for sure!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had such a great time on our ride here with Kyla (Southern Comfort, Ransom, and Mikita as well). It was just the two of us for a 2 hour trip and although we were sore by then end we were all smiles! We weren't able to ride the original trail we booked due to the weather, however we still enjoyed the tour around the neighborhood. Keep up the great work Kyla!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great bunch of ladies. Horses are beautiful! Scenic rides, not for the faint hearted if you want to do the 2 hour ride. But they are honest and tell you up front that its a difficult ride. If you're a beginner do the hour ride.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had a great time at Honora Bay Stables - we were lucky enough to get booked in last minute for their beginner level trail. We got great instructions and loved our horses - I would 100% go back for their longer more challenging trail ride if I’m by myself.
