Its all about expectations - if you are expecting to get Chinese food here that you are expecting from Chinatown (Spadina), Chinatown East or Chinatown North (Markham) this is not really your jam....its a quaint space, family run (no not mine but I have lived in the Beach long enough to watch the girls grow up). The food is typical North American Chinese food (which I lovingly call "fake Chinese food" with my kids) that is quite good. Food is always hot and the portions are fair to generous. We typically order out from here about once a month and our orders are consistent :)

This was by FAR , the absolute worst Chinese food I've ever had. I'm so disappointed. Almost nothing redeemable about ANY of our dishes . The price we paid and the food we received were not even close to a match ! Breaks my heart , wanted to support a local family run business...

Phoned and picked up. Quick service. Veg Lo mein chow mein was ok. Noodles a bit too oily so not as crispy fried like other restaurants. The fried egg roll was ok. The wonton skin wrapping could be fresher as I could taste the edges off the egg roll were bit dry. The hot and sour soup was ok. Maybe a bit too sour but ok. Price was par with other take outs. The guy who was the cashier could probably learn to be a bit more customer friendly as some how I’m from the old school that a smile or welcome greeting goes a long way that I might even overlook any negativity towards the food. I believe this place has lost its cachet of being a long standing dependable local Cdn Chinese Restaurant in the heart of the Beaches. I will compare reviews with The Goof and 955 Chinese next.

Very Bad and costly. Each side dish is $13 plus and the food was not at all good or to the standard of good Chinese food. Ordered a apple juice for my daughter and got a simple juice box that you can purchase by the case of a dozen for under $5.00. The cost for a single juice box was $3.50!!!. The fried rice taste like smoke and the basic chicken was yellow and tasted very salty and full of doe. Service was also not great though it started out ok the pleasantries did not last as we shared our concerns. For this poor food and bad service we wasted over $70 dollars and left 90% of the food on the table as we could not eat it. I would not recommend this location to anyone seeking good Chinese food or service.

A good local spot for tasty food, simple as that. I’ve been a customer for many years and I keep coming back, because it’s comfort food :)

Disgusting; how can you mess up simple fried rice? So oily, I literally counted 4 small broccoli pieces in my $14 veggie fried rice. Zero peas, carrots, onions???? The actual store is dirty & looks like a trap house; egg rolls taste funny with a sour after taste & grease dripping out the bag ...gross...dont waste your money on low vibrational garbage.

First they tried to charge me tax on the cash discount which is illegal. I tried explaining to the lady but she was trying to do it like she didn't get it or couldn't understand me. Then when I said don't worry about it cancel my order. She said oh sorry no problem and gave the proper credit. I picked up the food which was on time I might add. Unfortunately it has to be the worst Chinese food I have ever eaten in my life and I have eaten Chinese food hundreds of times both in North America and in China. The chicken balls and lemon chicken were almost all breading. The breading was drenched in grease since the oil they use I can only assume is very old and or not hot enough when deep frying. The rest of the food was extremely poor quality and I literally ate some vomitted and threw the rest away. I will never order from them again. Good luck if you do!
