Honda CRV's are made to fall apart at 250,000 km. I had a 1998 that did it some years ago.(valves and timing belt) Now I have a 2003.The check "emissions" light has been staying on just like the 98. I spent $300 for new plugs and a cam sensor which the code reader showed needing replacing. Light still on. Then Honda replaced the CO2 sensor for $705.Light still stays on. Now they say its the timing chain and timing control solenoid that needs replacing for $1696. So after that is done they'll most likely say its something else.Just change parts till we hopefully find the issue. I was seriously going to buy a new CRV but they seem programmed to fall apart at 250,000. They are nice to drive but once you hit 250,00 get rid of it.
