After our initial searches for a custom home builder where we had dealt with 2 frustrating companies who could not provide proper estimates and were not willing to work with us as a custom home builder, we ended up walking into HRD's show home and absolutely loved their show home. The meticulous designs, choices of colors and finishes and the way they welcomed us, we knew this was going to be the builder for us. Through the process Rob and Lindsay worked with us very closely, they were there to answer any questions we had and supported us 100% through the build. Rob offered excellent suggestions that only improved upon the build of our home, and I could not have imagined building our acreage with any other builder after the positive experience we had. Not only did they have a reasonable build time for the home, from the first dig to our move in date was only 6 months!! They finished the build 2.5 months early and at our move in date, there were no imperfections or outstanding items that we had to follow up on. We have been in our home for almost 2 years now, and have not had any maintenance items come up, the design and attention to detail in the build process was fantastic. The build quality is absolutely outstanding, job well done HRD. We are looking forward to developing our basement with HRD in the next year. Rob and Lindsay and the HRD team are excellent, and you would not regret building your home with HRD.

J	Jennifer B on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Condescending, contradictory, and corner-cutting are the best words to describe our incredibly disappointing, disorganized and frustrating experience with HRD. We were curious about the build process and had questions during our build. We should have known early on that concerns weren’t going to be well-received when the owners called us after we had already shown up to an on-site meeting to tell us they weren’t coming after all. After that, a lot of questions or concerns were met with terse answers like “it’s not in your contract” or “it’s not on your plans” (meaning if it was in the contract but not on the plans or vice versa, they would try to dodge the issue). One example of this is that we were very clear from the beginning we wanted a butler pantry (googling this term shows a very particular style - one a builder should be familiar with) but we ended up in a lengthy debate where they interpreted butler pantry as simple shelving. And despite the term butler’s pantry literally written in our contract, they said it wasn’t on our plans. So, we ended up eating most of the cost to add the cabinets that should have already been included and then HRD made notes on our file about how they covered the costs. There are many, many more examples where we were frustrated by how disorganized and contradictory they were. Most of the time when we had a question or concern, HRD was dismissive or pointed the blame at us… the client... who invested their life’s savings to build (and to quote the owner’s response to us when voicing our concerns) “it’s just a house.” The experience was so sour that we are planning to sell.

Robert and Lindsay, HRD owners each played a vital role in designing, planning and Lindsay helped me make selections. On site construction was supervised under the watchful eye of Matt, building supervisor. Any concern or request I had were immediately addressed by Matt. Robert also made onsite visits during construction. Building a home could be an unsettling experience, but HRD Reflection Design were determined to make me 100 % satisfied. Thanks HRD!

HRD makes the home building process very comfortable. Starting with the design of the home, no pressure or commitment was forced upon us at all to commit in anyway before we where entirely comfortable with our decisions. Once a design and commitment was made on our part, the project execution was very quick and delivered final build ahead of schedule. Any hickups along the way where dealt with immediately and HRD made us feel like we where the #1 client! We would highly recommend HRD as a home builder to anyone!

We've built homes with other builders in the past and HRD is by far our favorite builder. Lindsay and Rob are super personable, involved and extremely friendly. They have a great process which allows you to plan and design your perfect home with little to no stress involved. The HRD staff has obviously taken on the same approach - everyone we deal with (especially Matt and Shane) have been super helpful, personable and efficient with any request or question we've had. I could go on for pages about how amazing HRD is but I will end this review by highlighting that our home was built extremely quickly (and even faster than their anticipated deadline) and we absolutely love the design and quality!
