Home Instead Burnaby has provided wonderful care for my parents. They have provided care for our family for several years, and have always been supportive, friendly, conscientious and professional. I would recommend them to anyone needing care for a family member.

Excellent recent experience with Home Instead. We needed overnight care for our mother with Alzheimer's when our father broke his ankle - with very short notice. Both nurses who cared for our parents over 5 weeks were caring, compassionate, and professional, and made things so much easier for our whole family. Today is Healthcare Aide Day and I want to express my appreciation to Harpreet (the owner of Home Instead) for offering excellent Care Aide services! Recently, my 93yr old father was in need of immediate care when he returned from the hospital to recover at his Independent Senior Residence. Due to Covid protocol my father had to stay alone in his room for a 14 day precautionary Covid quarantine. Lack of staff at his residence and restrictions for family members to help my father in his time of need, the essential Healthcare Aides from Home Instead were a great blessing! I couldn’t ask for more better care for my father, as Harpreet definitely offers professional and compassionate Care Aide services, as he selects specific Care Aides that best suits my father’s personal needs and personality. Harpreet’s dedication to deliver quality care for seniors are reflected in each of his Care Aides as they took care of my father’s daily/evening needs and keeping him safe from falling. During my father’s isolation from his family, friends and no longer able to participate in his daily activities during his quarantine Home Instead manage to inspire and uplift my father’s spirit giving him their full attention and care. My father truly felt comfortable having the Care Aides in his room 24hr/day as they treated him with great respect making me feel like they were family friends. All the staff from Home Instead went the extra mile to offer special moments throughout his day; created enjoyable and memorable conversations mostly resulting in laughter, took their time to get to know my father personally, gave opportunities for my father to translate simple English words to his native Italian language which impressed my father, on occasion they played his favourite game of chess which encouraged him to feel better. Harpreet’s years of wisdom and depth of understanding of quality senior care shines through as he gives immediately attention and solutions if any situation arises. In a time when quality Care Aides are so valued and needed, more than ever during this pandemic, your loved ones will be well taken care of under supervision of Harpreet and the Care Aides he provides. I’m so grateful and relieved my father’s well being and spirit was in great hands as he greatly benefited from the private care he received during his quarantine, especially when family members were restricted and unable to care for him. Home Instead has been a lifesaver for our family. My mom almost went into a senior facility, but with the help of Home Instead she is able to remain in her own home without being scared or lonely. It is a relief to know the caregivers are there to look after her and socialize with her while I am working. My mom has bonded with them and she looks forward to seeing them each day. The Home Instead owner matched my mom with ladies that fit her personality and needs. Whenever I have questions, he returns my emails or call promptly even if it is on the weekend or in the evenings. The caregivers are wonderful and I am very happy they are keeping my mom healthy and safe during these difficult times.

The Burnaby Home Instead staff have provided excellent care for my aging mother for many years. They have always been accommodating to adjust the services required as my mother's care needs have decreased. The individual care givers are very nice and knowledgeable in handling my mothers medical, peri-care and social needs.
