★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Our interaction with the frontline staff at Hollyburn sailing club has been disappointing. We have been trying for almost a month to book private sailing lessons and emails go unanswered despite multiple followups. When we sent the an email expressing disappointment at their tardiness and lack of response, their frontline employee sends us a dishonest email, claiming to have connected us with a particular instructor that we haven't been connected to.
Our interaction with this club is less than desirable. I am leaving them a 1 star review not because of the lack of response, but specifically because of the dishonesty. I would have appreciated the employee stating they dropped the ball vs being dishonest about responding to us. Hopefully this club with hire some employees with integrity.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ HSC is very conveniently located at the heart of Ambleside, and provides affordable sailing lessons to those of us who see the sailing boats all the time, and got some desire to learn and enjoy the ocean and the winds.
I took CANSail 1 with them, and intend to take more lessons next year. Instructors were friendly and knowledgeable. It is certainly more exciting (and perhaps frightening) to sail a dinghy, but I feel that it will provide very valuable lessons before moving on to bigger boats.
