★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I bought six yards of the Garden soil. It was full of shredded plastic and produce decals. This is what Hillside states on their website: "Here at Hillside Stone & Garden we don't provide different grades of soil quality, we believe in only supplying our customers with the best. Blended on site, both of our soils begin with a top quality, nutrient rich, compost which is cooked and aerated making it virtually weed free."
What they fail to disclose it's that their Garden soil is fully contaminated with countless shredded pieces of plastic, which will never decompose. If that's what they consider the"best", they are going to loose customers fast.
I will never shop there again. I've told other people about my experience, and they have taken their business elsewhere.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Friendly service, great drivers, but unfortunately the garden soil is GARBAGE. Shredded bits of plastic and glass all throughout. You can’t see how bad it is until it dries out and you’ve already spread it everywhere. Next time I’ll look at a soil in person before purchase, lesson learned.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Since purchasing this business, this owner has provided diminished service (personable response or active help with items on site). As well, the smaller delivery truck driver was not proficient and unecessarily damaged lawn by making two driving errors without apology or attempt to correct damage. It seems that they think that having product, no matter what the price, IS service. They are mistaken!
