J	Jolene Edwards on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is an amazing park. We spent the canada day long weekend here and it was the best. They have 3 swimming pools a couple playgrounds, couple splash pads and lots of things for kids to do. There is a lake with a sandy beachfront. All the people in the park were so welcoming and friendly. A great place for a family getaway. Would definitely go back. 10/10 would recommend!

BUT...The sites with water and electricity for camping are right along a major road.... or it sure sounded major. Transports and trucks with oversized tires screaming up and down until 2 am. Not a restful experience we had hoped for. Clean and well taken care of. Horrible long walk to the bathroom for us.. This would be a great place if you had motor home and a golf cart to get to and from showers/bathrooms. Beach is a good hike from camping sites.... Not worth what we paid for the site.

Nice sized lots where we were. Probably the nicest and best family campground we have visited in Ontario. Keep up the good work!
M	Meghan on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We have been 2 years at Highland Pines. We do like how close it is from us. The grounds are very well kept, they have 3 pools, playgrounds and other amenities. The fees are very high which is why I cannot give them 5 stars. I believe they want to be seen as a resort when they will always be a beautiful campground. They keep adding rule after rule, not that that's bad, some rules are just ridiculous in my opinion, like not letting people build their own decks, materials bought only through them, etc. All in all, we enjoy it, for now.

Once you've signed their contract they will exploit you for everything they can, and you have no option but to keep taking it or get fed up and sell (losing anywhere from 10-100% of your investment depending on the age of your trailer). Between the fees (annual, barcode stickers, cart safety), high commissions, and various other money making schemes, you will regret "owning" anything in this park. If you don't mind feeling used and abused, this is the place for you. Good luck.

But if you want to have a safe holiday and quite time, he's a very good solid guy and his crew, some family members, are all on the same page! All in all a great facility with everything that you should need with a wee store on property, a boat docking system, permanent sites, as well as overnight, and seasonal sites. Highly recommended by travel,camping trl magazines. Full disclosure, We know the owner personally.
