★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This was my first visit to Hidden Gem, but it definitely won't be my last! This is a very clean and welcoming studio with an emphasis on customer service and where all the staff treat you like you're a friend. All the artists are exceptionally talented and passionate about their art who work with you to bring your vision to life with style! Robyn was my artist today and she did an amazing job on my Norse dragons! She is an eloquently intelligent, articulate and vibrantly engaging artist who cares about meticulous attention to detail. All the artists are fantastic But if Norse imagery or dark and creepy is your thing, then Robyn is your go to girl! I look forward to my next tattoo with her!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had a perfect experience at Hidden Gem Tattoos! Everyone was super nice and welcoming, as soon as I walked in I felt at ease and comfortable. I got my tattoo by Robyn on my upper thigh and everything went perfectly, she talked me through everything and made sure it was exactly what I wanted. Not only is she extremely sweet and attentive but also she's talented beyond doubt, I am ecstatic with the result! It was better than I even pictured it in my head, Robyn really did make my dreams come true with this one. Thank you again!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Got a tattoo here on my hand. Was less than 2 hours of work and the quality is ridiculous for over $400. They mock the apprentices and don’t wrap up with gloves. Terrible experience. Stay away.

(also if you're on the spectrum like me I found the whole shop to be pretty sensory friendly except for sound from the music)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My wife recently had a tattoo done at this shop. I was horrified at the recounting of her experience with the artist here. They made distasteful jokes at the expense of apprentices, and made jokes about getting their sweat under her second skin application. The tattoo she received was nothing like the inspiration she showed them even though they consistently reassured her that they understood her vision. The line work on the tattoo is sloppy, jagged, disconnected, and looks like someone drew on her hand with a bic pen. On top of all this they have the audacity to charge a shop rate of $180/hr for subpar apprentice level art. This piece would take any artist worth their weight about 45 minutes to an hour with setup/takedown time. Between conversations with other artists, resetting needles over and over, and running over the same lines multiple times (a huge red flag) they charged her for 2 hours and told her to “come back in a week for a touch up” (what artist says that??)
Please avoid this shop. There are scores of better shops in this city and far better artists. 2 hours in this shop will likely result in a permanent regret.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I went to hidden gems for my first tattoo and my artist was absolutely wonderful. She made sure I was doing okay and checked frequently if I needed to take a moment. I felt very safe as soon as I sat in the chair and she walked new through everything we were going to do. Very happy with this place and with the work they do

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I called on the weekend to inquire if they had any positions open for a quick tattoo fixing and a small one added to my wrisk. They were very polite and very friendly through email and in person. The person who did my tattoos name was Zach and he was one of the most friendliest down to earth people I have met. He already had my design ready for when I arrived, and was able to accommodate me after hours from my day job. Zack and I discover that we had some interesting hobbies in common, and he made the vist relaxing while well we chatted about our interests. Zach listened to what I wanted done, I was able to fix a previous Error that was made from me accidentally hitting my tattoo and damaging it. He pretty did up, gave me my new new tattoo, and made me feel important and valued as a customer. I will go see Zack again, when I'm ready to get my Star Wars tattoo :) Thank you Zack! My tattoo artist, Kira (@kirakiraink) was very kind, understanding, and professional and she made sure to check on me throughout the whole session. I am very pleased with her work and I would 100% recommend booking with Kira! She is extremely talented and excels at what she does. Definitely will be booking more tattoos with her in the future!
