Providing opportunities for recreation, activities, and social interactions is high on our list of priorities, as research has proven that active minds and bodies promote improved health in seniors.The fact that Helping Hands has 2 caregivers plus an administrator working in the home during the daytime and evening hours is proof of our commitment to providing recreation and social activities. Without these staffing levels in place there would not be sufficient time for our residents to be assisted with activities.Great effort goes into planning meaningful activities for our residents; we take into consideration their personal histories, likes and dislikes, and ability levels when implementing them. Both in-home activities and outings are part of our monthly calendar, which is changed each month to reflect our current clients as well as seasons and special occasions.Some of the recreational and social activities that we offer are:
