Nick was friendly and professional. He went into every detail, explaining things and also make sure that I understand what need to be taken care off. He answered each and every question I had. He was not in rush, he took his time to go around and captured all the details and pictures. His report was in detail with all pictures he has taken. Because he explained in detail, the report is very much easy to go through. Would highly recommend!

Nick was fast about returning our call and providing an inspection to a home that needed to be moved on fast. He didn’t rush while at the home and was extremely thorough! Most importantly he was honest and expressed concern about an outdated system in our new home that others had not mentioned. Helder Home Inspections was very easy to deal with, and responsive to my request to have a home inspection. Nick showed up on time, and took care to explain the findings that were present in the report. There was good communication between us, and I felt at ease waiving the inspection condition on my offer, knowing exactly what I was purchasing.

We were extremely pleased with Nick’s thoroughness and attention to detail to the home inspection he performed for us. We have done two other home inspections in the past with different properties (one other one in Kingston) and Nick’s was by far the best and most thorough one we’ve ever had. We reached out to Nick by chance as his reviews were outstanding. We recently purchased an older home and had some concerns. In this real estate market we were not afforded the opportunity to have an inspection as part of our conditions so we purchased the home and fastened our seat belts for what could be a bumpy ride. Nick came to our home after we moved which is not typical for a home inspector to do but Nick was more than happy to work with us to help us understand what we might not see. Nick pointed out a potentially major flaw which without his thorough eye, we wouldn’t have noticed. The previous owners at some point attempted to ‘remedy’ cracking in the foundation in our crawl space (not disclosed to us when we purchased). Nick explained what he thought may be happening and urged us to reach out to a specialist to confirm. Nick was visibly upset by what he found as he knows the costs and stress these defects can do to your bank account. I was so impressed with his professionalism and his empathy for our situation. This is not common. Nick is a stand up individual with a ton of knowledge and willing to share and simplify his findings so you understand exactly what he is seeing and why he is concerned. At the end of the day we reached out to a specialist on Nicks advice and we have been quoted for the repair he highlighted and thank goodness it will be much less than we originally anticipated to spend on this repair. Thank you Nick for what you do and the time you spent here helping us. PS. Nick actually followed up with my wife and I after the fact to see what the foundation specialist had to say.
