★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This store and most others in j-town are actually a real gem for those looking to get Japanese goods. I would give 5 stars but I have found on several occasions that they try to short change anyone that they believe would not bother to count it. My advice is pay attention to the totals prior to checkout and count the change they hand you back if paying cash.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Clean and organized Japanese market with mostly imported Japanese ingredients and snacks. A bit on the pricy side but you'll find a lot specialty items here. They have some prepared foods like onigiri, mochi, and Bento boxes too. Covid protocols are being followed strictly so you'll likely have to line up.

Wish they stocked a bit more consistently. Find a product you like and you may never see it again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Clean shopping center, lots of snacks to buy. The prices are a little higher but the ambience is fun to go for. Feels like you are in Japan. Workers are very friendly and keep the shelves tidy.

If someone asks me if I’d recommend the place, the answer is yes. I love that they have locally grown veggies, handmade tofu, etc. However, it's just so awkward that the staff seem to welcome Japanese customers better... The reason I say this is that, because my appearance seems Japanese to some Japanese people, whenever the staff mistakenly thought I'm Japanese, the staff would kindly greet me and asked a few questions in Japanese, and the entire shopping experience would be amazing. Other times, let's say when I was shopping with friends who probably don't look very Japanese to them, the staff would communicate very minimally and almost no basic greetings. It’s like when I said “thank you”, I’d receive no response at all.
That being said I still shop at this place a lot. I write this review hoping they’ll improve on this issue.

The meat selection is rather limited, and very mediocre quality.
If you are looking for better meat quality, go to Famu next door.
They have a section of discounted items that are expiring soon, near the cashier.

Small, cozy and quaint. This Japanese supermarket is located inside J-Town and is no doubtably one of the anchor stores.
A lot of Japanese products, though mainly packaged groceries. Certain items have a good variety. If you're seeing Hojicha, there's a good selection. There is a bit of fresh products though primarily cooked foods.
Very close to the highway for easy access.
Free parking in the area.
Close to highway with stores and restaurants near by.
Worth the visit.
