★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I’ve wasted a lot of money in my days but never more then deciding to retain Moe Househ for a family law case. When a lawyer threatens to drop you as a client over email because you you question their abilities, how can you expect them to debate a proper lawyer? I should’ve walked away when he was offended that I asked him about his professional history in our introductory meeting. Feeling pressured to retain someone quickly coupled with the stress and anxiety of what I was to getting myself into definitely impaired my judgment. He made only a single statement in our first and only meeting with opposing council. A meeting he showed up to late. If you have no experience with the legal system this is not the place for you. You shouldn’t feel the need to call a lawyer about your lawyer. There are many lawyers out there and most of not all will be better then Moe Househ.
Also, pay close attention to the rates quoted over the phone versus what you are actually charged in your first invoice. Unfortunately, he seems to take full advantage of how daunting switching lawyers in the middle if your case might be.
