Head To Tail Pet Spa - Saskatoon

I have been taking my Bernadoodle to this pet spa for a year now and we always use her favorite groomer Lynx. They are very loving and caring of my dog as well as doing a fantastic job every time! We love this place.

Brought my cat in 3 times to get nails trimmed. First 2 times went great. Last time I went, my cat was inside for a maximum 3 minutes before they returned my cat to me and said "he's too aggressive". I was unimpressed with the lack of trial and error to get my cats nails trimmed. However, he's never been the same since. He's been traumatized and won't even leave my house after that appointment. Never going back, don't recommend cause they've traumatized my cat.

Been taking my cat, Merlin, here for years. That they’re attached to a vey clinic offers extra peace of mind. Even though my cat is fussy, they always do an amazing job of removing stray mats, trimming her nails, and sending her back to me a very happy kitty. I recommend this place to everyone looking for a lion cut (tho I asked them to leave her tail as-is this time), and I’ve yet to see another groomer do as tidy a job as they do.

The person who groomed my dog was great, so glad I got to meet her. when I expressed concern about the price the two people behind the counter were less than impressed which was clear due to their body language and eyes. Which was upsetting because I was not rude about it. All in all my girl was happy and the person who did it was great.

Chelsea did a fantastic job cutting my dogs hair. I've never seen my dog look so good. I will definitely go back. The receptionist was also very friendly and helpful! I highly recommend Head To Tail Pet Spa!

I am appalled by the poor quality of service I received at Head to Tail Pet Spa. I have never gone out of my way to write a negative review, but I think it is necessary so that others know. I specially chose this groomer because they state on the website "they are located within Central Animal Hospital" They state "in extreme cases they can provide sedation" and that you would be required to discuss pricing and sign a waiver. I booked a shave for my cat 4 weeks ahead of time. I wanted to ensure he was groomed because we are moving and he is staying at my parents until we move into our new place. He requires daily brushing and I didn't want my parents to worry about that until he settled in. We typically groom him ourselves, but wanted a full shave and didn't want to risk hurting him. He is a high stress kitty and I knew he'd need sedation. I asked ahead of time and again, it was mentioned they are located "within" the vet clinic. I felt reassured that he would get groomed. I scheduled my flights around the soonest grooming appointment I could get. My husband took the day off work, and I had to arrange alternative transportation to my workplace. We woke up early to give him an anxiety pill. Shortly after drop-off, my husband was called to pickup Winston and said he was too aggressive to groom. They say they offered to have my husband sit with him and he declined (my husband says this is not what happened). I called the vet clinic to see about booking a sedation ASAP. Turns out, they are completely separate from Heads to Tails. If we brought him in for sedation he'd need a full intake and assessment. If we knew this, we would have just booked sedation through our regular vet! I was horrified to learn that cats are groomed in a large room with up to 5 other dogs or cats. I wish I had done my research first, I can't imagine how traumatic this was for my poor boy. My cat has a stress based health condition and I'm already feeling awful about having to put him through the stress of moving. This experience made me feel deeply guilty. As said before, I have never gone out of my way to write a negative review before. But Heads to Tails spa completely ruined my day.

Will not be returning! The groomers are very condescending and belittling. They use extremely loud voices when speaking and talk to me as though I’m a child. The groomer insinuated that we had not brushed our dog in 2 months, since her last grooming, which was simply not the case. The groomer was far more interested in giving us a lecture than talking to us about how to maintain our dog’s coat at home. They were not interested in listening to me at all when I brought my dog in to hear my concerns and discuss options. The owner was more interested in up selling their combing services than helping us prevent matting at home. When we picked her up from her previous visit to Head to Tail Pet Spa we were told that she was really well behaved and her coat was excellent with a couple spots to pay more attention to. This most recent visit they made it sound like we don’t care for our dog’s coat at all. I’m also not happy with the cut. My poor girl’s ears were not cut crisply at all. The staff were unprofessional and the whole experience was disappointing. We will not be returning nor will we be recommending Head to Tail Pet Spa to anyone. Super disappointed with how they treat their paying clients. We have booked our dog’s next grooming at a different pet spa.

Very friendly staff! The groomer pays great attention to detail and did a great job. They took the time to give my nervous dog treats to get him comfortable before I left and during the grooming, which helped to make it a better experience for him. Price was better than most of the other places I've been in the city as well. Highly recommend!
