l	lianne hill on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I live in Sooke BC, have for 13 years. It used to take 30 minutes to get home. It has gradually become more populated and has increased from 30 minutes to an hour. Very frustrating but I get it. Now it takes an hour and 45 minutes due to multiple poorly managed Hazelwood construction sites. The disorganization of these sites in Sooke are like nothing I've seen before. Why is this company working on and closing 2 major streets at the same time? There are an estimated 20 thousand people using Otter Point and Church Road almost every day. There is no reason these projects need to be under way at the exact same time. Alternating them would have at least given the residents an option. I left my home at 3pm to pick something up at the vet, an approximate 3.5-minute drive on an average day. It took 45 minutes. There is single lane alternating traffic intermittently and poorly timed on the Church Rd site but is for some reason closed completely, in both directions, during peak rush hour times in the afternoon. I understand these things need to get done and none of you live here but things like alternate routes and time of day closures need to be looked at before projects like this move forward.
