I have been to many sushi spots in the province and I've got to say that this spot is a hidden gem. For the price, the sushi is excellent to the taste and each special roll has it's own flavors. Not only is the food very good, but the chef makes it quite quickly and the presentation will still be flawless. I admire those who love their profession and with the dishes I was devouring I can definitely sense the passion. The beef tataki was my partner and I's personal favorite. We actually had gone to this restaurant for dinner on 2 consecutive days with how the sushi left us craving from the first visit. The torched salmon oshi sushi is also a must have. Super tender salmon and has a nice kick with a thinly sliced pepper on top. Glad to have stumbled upon this restaurant when browsing for sushi. I will definitely recommend this to anyone I know.

There are many Japanese restaurantsΒ around the Lower Mainland, and we are blessed that most of them are actually good. But now and then, you bump into a simply perfect joint. In this case, it was Hanamori Sushi. Besides a very cozy environment of a small restaurant andΒ exceptional service, the food was spot on. It was well presented, everything tasted fresh, and the flavors were excellent. I'm glad we decided to visit this place, and I'm looking forward to our next visit.

If ur a cheap human being who likes tnt sushi then this plave is not for you. Probably the most authentic japanese restaurant in Vancouver. Family owned and is ran by a Japanese couple. Don’t expect them to treat you like ur in cactus club cuz the culture is different. Food is 5/5

My family and I come to this restaurant on regular basis. I have had business meetings and told some many of my friends and contacts about this restaurant. The customer experience has deteriorated significantly since we first started coming in. It is unfortunate that the host is not that friendly and always look at us as we’re visiting for the first time. We stopped going there and we’re now going to other sushi restaurants and spending our money where people appreciate our business. I sure hope that the restaurant owners recognize this and work on improving customer experience because they offer decent food.

This is a quaint, family ran operating local business by a lovely couple. A very authentic sushi joint with indoor dine in and easy takeout options. We got the Party Tray A & C which was more than enough sushi for eleven people for lunch. The tray was delivered beautifully, excellent presentation and tasted absolutely delicious. Very fresh, unsalted super yummy sushi and you can tell the chef is very talented with a lot of pride put into his efforts. The trays were more on the expensive side in comparison to other places, but you absolutely get value for money with this sushi joint and I would definetely choose to eat here again. Support local! Please order where you can directly via the restaurant to stop third parties from taking all the commission.

These guys never disappoint. - The quality of the food is top notch. - The chef is excellent. - The people that run it are super nice. If you appreciate high quality Japanese for eat-in or take out at reasonable prices in the Burnaby/Tri-Cities area, this spot is worth a try. If your main focus for sushi and Japanese is cheap prices, you can walk up the street and eat the trash at that spot on the corner strip mall...

Went here to try their specialty rolls and was pleasantly surprised! This place is not authentic Japanese sushi, but their full sized nori specialty rolls were beautifully presented, huge, and well made (did not fall apart when you picked it up).

Hanamori Sushi, is an amazing warm atmosphere and the sushi was super fresh and tasty. I just wanted to eat everything on the menu!! The snow village rolls just melt in your mouth. The Aburi Salmon, torched Saba and torched salmon belly is to die for. Absolutely loved it!! The yam shrimp tempura and potato croquettes were so light and crispy!! Thank you so much for an amazing experience ?☺️ Also if you like your tea you get lots of refills ? Amazing quality and presentation!!
