Hamiota Feedlot Ltd. was built in 1998 and is located 3 miles west of Hamiota on PTH #469. The feedlot was built with a original capacity of 5,000 head, but in the fall of 2006 we saw the completion of an expansion to increase the one time capacity of the feedlot to 12,500 head.
The Feedlot utilizes locally grown barley and silage as the main feed ingredients. Numbered pens can accommodate from 125 to 250 head of cattle. All pens have concrete feeding pads with concrete waterers and excellent drainage.
Owners and management are involved in the daily running of the facility. Break-even projections, buying and marketing services are available to customers. Our customer base includes cattlemen from Canada and the United States.
