★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Awesome trail for a beginner or intermediate off roader. The hard way is a fair challenge; a spotter and vehicle with >9" of clearance is highly recommended. This tight trail is characterized by medium boulders and smaller rocks which present fun obstacles.
The easy way is still fun, but a spotter is not necessary. Cross-ditches are the main obstacle on this trail as you wind back and forth down to/up from the lake. While far less technical than the hard route, good clearance is still required.
Once at the bottom a nice recreation site with tables and an outhouse greet you. The view is spectacular, and the atmosphere is quite serene.
If less experienced, I recommend taking the hard way down before attempting to ascend it. If uncertain, take the easy route and hike up the hard way to check it out; as the hardest section is near the bottom. Typically, the minimum requirement for the hard way is a tacoma/4runner/jeep on 31's.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have been going here for over 15years, I was part of the structure build back in 2009 or 10. The area for sure has a lot more traffic now and I would not recommend if your looking for a quiet weekend away. The beach is very nice, small rock and I would recommend wearing swim shoes if you go in. Never know if there is glass or old logging metal items on the beach. Took my son last weekend for the 2nd time in his life and he liked the bumpy trail in. I would not recommend this road for a stock car and you will need ground clearance to get in with out damage.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you like off roading this would be a great place to visit. I was getting gun shy with my Santa Fe 4WD by the time I headed down this road (not on any maps), but it is doable in a 4WD. The beach itself is great, but it is a challenge to reach.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great place, awesome beach, beautiful views! Make sure you have at least a Jeep with good tires to get there, or some other off road capable rig. Love this place!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Pretty short drive considering the remote location. Beautiful scenery and if you have a truck with the clearance at least 10 inches you can probably get your vehicle to the Lodge

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Not easy for new bee - and u need a lot of experience to manuever through rough patches. Having said that - its a wonderful place - I couldn't take pics coz it was challenging for us and we came back due to ground clearance issue - then climbed up on Hale Creeek Road .
Rec site is managed by BC4x4 - and they are doing wonderful work- please join so that this site could little more easily accessible.
