Hair by Thomas Japanese Hair Straightening

Thomas did amazing work on my Hair Straightening. He took the time to answer all my questions and gave great recommendations for the care of my hair. Looking forward to come back for my touch ups.

I have been a customer at this salon for over a year now and I love it! Initially came for Japanese Straightening (Thomas is seriously amazing and is the most lovely and helpful stylist!), and now I’ll be going for any and all of my hair needs! The space is minimal and beautiful, the staff is all so nice and attentive, and the prices are reasonable. I almost don’t want to write a review because I don’t want them to get more in-demand, but they really do deserve the praise!

I have been going to Thomas for at least 4 years and have found that his service is excellent and consistently reliable. Thomas is attentive, efficient and always willing to provide suggestions or answer questions that I may have regarding my hair care or hair style.

I have been going to Thomas for coloring and straightening for over 10 years (even before he opened his new salon). He is knowledgeable, professional and his prices are very reasonable. He always lets me know the cost upfront so there are no hidden surprises. I'm extremely happy with his work and would highly recommend him to anyone.

I have been going to Thomas for over 25 years. I originally came to see him to get my hair Japanese straightened but now he also cuts and colours my hair. Even though I have to drive an hour to the salon, he is worth it. I had many stylists try to straighten my hair with poor results. Thomas performs magic. He also gets my colour perfect. I tried another salon closer to home and I had to go back to have it redone but I still was not satisfied with the colour. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Thomas and his salon. 10 ⭐️

I have come to Hair by Thomas for about 2 years, after my previous hairdresser retired. It is incredibly difficult to find a good hairdresser who can perfom a decent hair straightening on coarse curly hair. I have had previous bad experiences (paid a lot of money, wasted time and it's as if nothing had been done). Thomas' straightening is actually the best I have had, and surprisingly the quickest. He is professional, discreet and good at what he does. I drive 1h to get my hair done by him: straightening, colour and cut. I am so grateful to have found him. Thank you!

I am really so disappointed at his customer service! I had natural healthy hair without any colour or anything (as Thomas said my hair so healthy and natural). First,when I went there, he did Japanese straightening,because my hair was natural and healthy got straight or (at least straight for a week). After that ,because I had a lot of gray hair; I talked to him about dying my hair and he said he could dye my hair to brown and I will have beautiful all Only brown color hair. Unfortunately, after I went there and paid full price without any discount, he messed up with my hair! Left me with dark black, light brown and white color (as you see on the picture)! What’s saddens me more is when I confronted with him for solutions he lied and said this happened because I didn’t pay him full! And what’s worst he told me I am stressing him and I can go make a claim! (See his text screenshot!) After spending $480 ,now I ended up with three coloured hair and Japanese Straightening is not soft anymore because it’s ruined after colouring! Honestly, when I was reading his reviews,I thought he is good and patience with his job but it seems his reviews are not telling truth! Definitely not recommending him. ****** update **** I didn’t care about money and money wasn’t issue! Your unprofessionally messed up with my hair! Your ruined my healthy hair without knowing that you could colour hair after Japanese Straightening and didn’t know what colour to use to dye all my hair to be one colour! And know you are excusing about my hair was thick? Didn’t you know what kind of hair I have? Didn’t you strightning my hair? But you are just unprofessional and a liar!

My naturally curly hair has plagued me for years, and I've tried straightening it, but it's going to make me feel dull. Until my friend recommended Thomas to me. He deeply understood my needs and transformed me into a better me. My hair has never been so soft and natural. I will definitely recommend him to other friends!
