They are stunning and exactly what I had wanted. I am a very picky person when it comes to quality of work and they totally met my expectations. Everyone that walks in the door comments on how gorgeous they are and asked who did them and what’s their number?! Thanks so much for your hard work from a very happy customer! Will definitely use again and highly recommend! Trust me as a designer your in good hands if you use them!!!

The project required the removal of my existing staircase (which was done by Cadd Concepts) and what they created was a perfect replication of our vision. It certainly is now a centerpeice of our home and added an additional 3.5- 4 feet to our living area. We are so happy with it that we felt a need to integrate the rustic charm into our basement ceiling height so that we could enjoy it from there as well. The price was very competitive and the team was excellent to deal with. I wouldn't hesitate in using Adam again. Very happy with the results!!

I often find myself just standing back and admiring how beautiful it looks. That in itself would be enough to recommend H&J unequivocally but it was actually their after service that really set them apart from most contractors..... Our tiling contractor had a spill on the stairs with an armful of tile. He was fine but 3 of the treads were damaged with deep gouges. We were absolutely mortified. I was certain there would be no way to repair the individual treads on a staircase that was already installed and trimmed. I was wrong. Adam responded immediately and had the repair done very quickly. It was seamless. I'm still not sure how they did it but it was a true testament to their skill. Highly, highly recommend.

Because we chose a satin clear stain for the 16 treads, Adam was careful to select the pieces such that the grain is uniform from top to bottom. The black spindles are perfectly spaced. The assembly is very well executed. After two winters and one summer, there is not a creak in the steps. Based on my experience, I can confidently recommend H&J Stair and Rail. They're a shop you can trust with this central component of your home. Ours is a show piece.
