Had my 1 year old out at the park. (Holly Park) There was 2 workers who showed up from this daycare with roughly 12-14 young kids. They had zero concept on how to watch children. One little boy fell so hard his shoe flew off. Neither of the workers came to help. I started pushing my son in the baby swing and 2 of the daycare kids came over and were slamming around the other baby swing just barely missing my son. I asked the boys to be careful and the 1 told his friend to stop. The 1 child could careless and kept trying to slam the baby swing into my child. I walked over to the daycare workers and she stated I need to deal with it myself and tell them to stop because there is more kids then workers. She then proceeds to yell at me that the little girl with her is crying because she is new to the daycare... I never even brought her up. But I too would cry if I was stuck with these workers. She then walks over to where I am to tell me again that there was nothing she could do. This is a poor excuse for a daycare. If you have kids at this daycare beware that your children are NOT being carefully watched. It is a HORRIBLE decision to drop your kids off with these workers. They have NO idea how to keep the children they are watching safe or how to make sure those said kids are being nice to others at a park. If 2 workers have a hard time keeping an eye on that many kids maybe they shouldn't bring so many out at once!

I recommend Guildford gardens to all the parents who are looking for a Daycare for their ward. I still remember the day when Mr. Terry spared time on a Saturday especially for us as we are available on weekends only. We being new to Canada were obviously new to the daycare system here. My sincere thanks to him that he not only showed us the daycare with all facilities his daycare has been equipped with, he also introduced the government subsidy support and ways to apply it. From childcare per se also, we as parents are quite satisfied the way our children are being taken care by the staff at the daycare. Our children also communicate about their daycare activities and food they have consumed during the day and appreciate the same. Staff at Guildford garden is also very receptive interms of communication with parents.

My 3.5 and 6 year old kids are going to Guildford gardens daycare. I am over all very satisfied with it. My younger kid is going full time there and she is learning new things. There are different kind of activities like pre school, outdoor play, yoga etc. Kids play and get along together. Initially I had some issues with food preferences. My kids are vegetarian and told them about that, so they provide them vegetarian food. My elder kid is going after school. So they pick her up from school. My over all experience is very good. I need not to worry about her at all. As new comers, we were new to the systems but administrators helped and guided us a lot about how daycares work here, how schools work and how can we apply for government subsidy. I just have one suggestion, that for full time daycare kids, there should be a proper activities chart. So that we can have a bit of understanding about what kids do for full day because they are too young to explain anything properly.

Our son of 2.5 yr old started his daycare in July, 2020. We did not have good experience initially because he always used to get hurt with his pants torn out and noone in daycare took that responsibility. He used to be with kids of around 3-5 yr old whenever we saw him in daycare while picking him up. Guildford Gardens daycare was informed and our son was then put in smaller children group to ensure that our son is not hurt everyday. We wonder why our son was with bigger children group. Finally, we appreciate daycare to make changes for our child after it was informed by us. Some of the suggestions - 1. Parents should be informed about the activities of your child and what meals are provided daily. 2. Parents should be informed about - whether your child had food or not, how he behaved in daycare and with other kids, what activities were done. If parents get to know daily activities of your child, it not only helps us in understanding our child's learning curve, his behaviour etc. but also gives a sense of relief and satisfaction to parents that our child is in safe hands when we send our child to daycare. Since kids spend most of their quality day and time in daycare. 3. Playground area for outdoor should not be with stones because if kids accidentally trip or fall they can badly get hurt. If that can be changed to some accident free surface, kids will be safe and will not get hurt whichever option is feasible. Free hot lunch for kids is a great thing done by daycare which is highlight of daycare.
