★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Misdiagnosed me and said nothing was wrong when I was internally bleeding alongside fainting. I’m a university student and they Told me to not bother with seeing a gastroenterologist here because of crazy wait times and told me to go see my family doctor. Left crying. Literally go any where else. The nurses and staff here are so passive and generally suck. Triage nurse asked where the pain was in my stomach and I was gonna say lower but she cut me off and said “upper area? Okay” and jotted it down. I tried to cut her off but she kept rapid fire asking me questions. Would rather die then come here agan

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Terribly understaffed. The nurses and PSW’s did the best they could under the circumstances. On the 6th floor I had one nurse, Andrew, who really stood out. He was so kind. No one called my family when the surgery was over and, because I was not given a privacy code, they could not get any information. That should not have ave happened. Let’s hope that help is in the way for a better health care system.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If I could give zero stars I would. This hospital is dirty, unorganized, and SOME not all staff are rude. The bedside manner of some of the nurses is just terrible. I dont want to give details of the patient at hand but when an elderly patient is given Lasiks and has to use the washroom every 5 minutes you don't scold the patient for filling a diaper with urine. What are they supposed to do, if they physically can't get up to use a toilet, commod or bed pan.... despicable behavior by "health care professionals"

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My experience at this hospital by far has been the worst and since there was zero stars to give as to how they were from beginning to end, lack of compassion towards patients that are in pain, not communicating on how long it would take to be seen etc. There was only one nurse who was very nice other than that to me it looks like the staff there hates their jobs but I suggest to them to not take it out on patients. I am very dissatisfied and disappointed on how my time there was handled.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ In simple words, this hospital is a blot on canadian tax payers. I came here three times with my six year old son. We had to wait more than 9 hours to see a doctor. It is better to drive 45 minutes to McMaster. There was no option for zero star. But I can give one star since it's imaging (x rays) section is good.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My wife and I (and our twin daughters) had a great experience in the birthing unit here.
The OBG Dr. Horspool who worked with my wife was amazing. He is very friendly, communicated very well the whole way through the process, and is an expert surgeon.
The nurses in the special care nursery are amazing. They are so caring and we learned so much from them. They took incredible care of us and our daughters. Thank you!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My husband was in hospital for 10 days for a swollen knee that was infected. it's was swollen and red and very hot. He spent two nights waiting for a bed in ER. Dr Morrison and Dr Hoey were very considerate and took good care and explained what they were doing.
The nurse Ivan on the 7th floor was very helpful. The rest of the nurses on 7 and 5 treated him very rudely. He asked on nurse for help with something and she replied, I'm a nurse I don't do that!
Our health care system was in the toilet long before COVID. This hospital needs an overhaul of nurses, unfortunately the good ones are few and far between. Kudos to the ones who treat patients with respect. The rest of them should find another career.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had a wrist fracture in late December and my care from start to finish was marvelous here. I went to the ER and was seen with alacrity and attentiveness. The staff, nurses, and physicians were wonderful. When I went back a few days later for the fracture clinic, the practitioner Kevin and the physician Dr. Young were so helpful and kind. I am very happy with my care. Thank you GGH!l
