The team from Grindstone made our renovation job almost painless. There was great communication from start to finish and they were able to work with changing timelines due to issues beyond everyone's control. Matt and Brendan helped me to plan out further work that we are looking to have completed after this first job and were able to add some great suggestions. William was great at finding products that we liked for this job as well as the next, as well as helping us to plan out what we wanted done. Looking forward to working with them all again.

Harrison and Matt were a pleasure to work with; they were respectful of our living space and quickly completed the structural and drywall repairs to our basement stairwell ceiling to get it to code. It looks perfect, and you’d never know work had been done in that area. Being a family man himself, Harrison assured me all necessary precautions would be taken to prevent air contamination so my newborn would be safe. Grindstone Renovations was very responsive, easy to communicate with, and reliable/punctual. The quotes/invoices were accurate and detailed; I appreciated their transparency given I am completely unfamiliar with this type of work. I recommend this company to any and everyone requiring construction services!

Grindstone completely remodeled our family room and it was a great experience. They did an excellent job: the quality of the finishings is outstanding. They were a pleasure to work with and thier communications with us were constant and extremely helpful. They were able to incorporate any of the changes we asked for with no problems. They were clean, respectful and we would defintitely use them again. We highly recommend them.

About 20 months ago, we engaged Grindstone to be our general contractor for a kitchen renovation. Grindstone's leadership group impressed us with their professionalism and courtesy in working with us. They did a good job of balancing our need for space and time to make decisions with the fact that they were bringing experience and expertise to the table. They provided excellent options and suggestions, while allowing us to decide on the approach to flooring, cabinets, lighting, etc. We had multiple in-person visits and phone calls to discuss the engagement contract. It is important to note that they stuck to the contract, and billed us accordingly. There was one available up-charge which we were not pressured into receiving. It was certainly out of scope of the contract and we appreciated the recommendation and accepted this additional piece of work. The project was delayed due to the supplier of the cabinets. Grindstone kept us up to date and informed. In January 2020, the project was completed to our satisfaction and we were very pleased with the results. Grindstone had multiple team members involved. All were courteous and professional. Grindstone did sub-contract various pieces. At one point, we had concerns about one of the sub-contractors that seemed to be producing sub-par work. Without additional fees, Grindstone accepted responsibility for the work, hired a replacement sub-contractor, and had that individual re-do the finishing work. In the end, Grindstone's objective was to give us a great looking finished product and a kitchen that functions well for our family and is in line with the look and feel and level of quality that we were hoping for. Grindstone ensured our satisfaction via a few touch points that occurred after completion of the work. This was greatly appreciated and strengthened our confidence in potentially hiring them for future work or in recommending them as a service provider to others. We were very pleased to have hired Grindstone and I would certainly hire them again.

In June of 2020 we were fortunate to have Grindstone complete the interior construction of a guest cabin. From conception to completion, every Grindstone employee we worked with was approachable, professional and fun to work with, all while producing exceptional results. They also addressed a few post construction concerns recently and were quick to resolve the problems. We’ve had rave reviews on our little guest cabin and would never hesitate to recommend Grindstone Renovations.

Grindstone came in on budget and all the work was done on time and better then expected. Any minor issue we noticed was fixed immediately with out any hassle. From the design process to the finished product everything was very professional. Communication was great and timelines were met. Everyday the team cleaned up any mess. We will definitely use Grindstone Renovations again for any future projects as the final product exceeded our expectations.

What enticed me to contact Grindstone was the overall professional impression I got from looking at their portfolio. From start to finish, and even after the project ended, Harrison was so wonderful to work with. The whole team was professional throughout the working relationship. I couldn’t have asked for a better company to execute the risky garage project I had planned. The measurements were so tight that I had doubts about the success of the project, but I trusted Grindstone’s assurance and capabilities, and it paid off. I am more than happy with the result because not only do I have a functional garage, but the renovation done blends in perfectly with the rest of the house as if none had been done! Now that’s quality!

Grindstone did an amazing job with our main floor renovation. The quality of the work was outstanding from both the Grindstone guys and their trades. There were a few snags along the way, but Grindstone addressed them in a timely manner. Everyone who has seen the finished project has loved it! We highly recommend them.
