We had a fantastic time with Jesse on Orca Camp. Beautiful paddling experiences, plenty of time for relaxation and chilling, and nature really put on a fine show for us!

BOOK EARLY FOR 2021 while you still can! My experience was 5 star and if there was a 6th star I would choose it! The owners, Sandra and Jesse are passionate about what they do and it shows. The food and accommodations are amazing! We got to see Humpback, Pacific White Sided Dolphins, Porpoise, Seals, Sea Lions, Eagles and to top it all off, Orca swam right by our beach and they spy hopped and breached! INCREDIBLE!! THIS IS A MUST DO EXPERIENCE!!

This was - for me - the experience of a lifetime. Being in the right place to see whales and bears and fish and all manner of wildlife was simply perfect. We had 2 epic days weather-wise, and then 2 so-so days, but every day was superb. The attention to detail, the food, the ambience, the flow... it all worked wonderfully. Jesse and Sandra are caring, compassionate, and passionate owners with the drive to do everything the right way. Dan as our other guide was professional, knowledgeable, approachable, and rounded out the team very well. The removal from stress and every day life, and the immersion in peace and serenity quite literally left me with tears in my eyes at the end of our trip. My daughters are looking forward to joining me next year! Can't wait!

We spent an amazing four days at Orca Camp in August 2020 with Jesse. Our family of four - two kids ages four and nine - were the only guests at camp due to COVID-19 regulations. We were fortunate to have orcas swim right by camp twice! They were so close to shore...such an incredible experience. We also saw orcas on the other two days as well, though at a distance through binoculars. We loved kayaking, and Jesse was very patient with our kids, especially the youngest one. He had a lot of great information about marine life and was able to share it in a way that kept them interested and entertained. Camp was very comfortable with walk-in tents, cots, mattresses and pillows. We all fit into one tent. The composting toilet is actually quite pleasant, as far as camping goes. :) The hot shower on the beach is awesome. The camp beach is on Johnstone Strait, which is where the resident orcas hang out. While I thought the kayaking part was where you'd paddle around and see the orcas, it's actually hanging out at camp that provides the best opportunties for orca sightings as they swim up and down the Strait, and often right next to camp. This is a wonderful experience for kids, as they have the freedom to roam around. Our two kids loved playing amongst the driftwood on the beach, and walking on the pathways around camp. Food was great and filling, and kid-friendly. Unfortunately, despite Jesse's best efforts (and my husband's ok efforts), we were not able to catch any fresh fish, LOL. But everything else was delicious. The kids' favourite meal was the schnitzel. I loved eggs benedict for breakfast! Highly recommend a visit to Orca Camp!!

If you are looking for that perfect vacation where you can leave your worries away...book with Grey Wolf Expeditions! Ocra camp offered a cozy home in the outdoors. The camp site was well organized with secluded sleeping tents overlooking Johnstone Strait. Kayaking was amazing! Calm waters and memorable orca, humpback, dalls porpoise and sea lions sightings. Jesse gave us a great balance of alone time and social interaction. His knowledge of the area, kayaking skills, and thoughtful conversation was appreciated. Thank you for the campfire evenings!

From start to finish the time with Grey Wolf Expeditions at their 4 day Orca camp was absolutely amazing. I could not recommend them any more, from the moment we interacted with Sandra we were totally at ease and felt in great hands with nothing to worry about. All communication was really clear and we received an awesome information pack after booking that included information on absolutely everything you could think of and that you should know before you go. The Orca camp offers the ideal combination of excitement, relaxation, adventure, privacy, fun and chill vibes all in the most incredibly beautiful setting. This immersive retreat reconnects you with nature and offers the perfect balance between plugging out but still feeling completely pampered with things like charging stations, hot showers and absolutely delicious, wholesome and nutritious food. Highlights of our trip included: watching the stars and the bioluminescence in the water at night, seeing the orcas and even hearing them from our tent at night, having a sunset paddle on glasslike water, taking a hot shower in the rain looking out onto Johnstone Strait and every meal time was a delight but eating perfectly cooked Salmon for dinner after seeing Jesse catch and prepare it oceanside was just incredible. There is no pressure to do anything, the trip will be as activity packed or relaxing as you want it to be. We were extra lucky with the group that we were there with as we were an incredibly diverse group and all got on together like a house on fire. We chatted and learned from each other which was just the cherry on the top of an amazing trip expertly organised and coordinated. This is a well oiled machine and Jesse, Sandra and Dan are all experts in their field, there to guide you along the way and share really interesting information about the area, the animals, the camp set-up, history, eco-system etc. Grey Wolf Expeditions is an excellently run family operation offering incredible adventures and experiences that immerse you deep into mother nature. I arrived not knowing really what to expect and left feeling relaxed and with a very full heart (and memory cards!). Five stars and a highlight of my time in Canada.

An amazing adventure for my teenage daughter and I. Even as a local to Vancouver Island this all inclusive trip gave us a chance to disconnect from day to day life and take a vacation in our own back yard. Amazing guides, with an excellent camp base set up to make this trip comfortable and relaxing. Enjoyed every second of it. Can't wait for our next adventure! Thank you so much Sandra and Jesse!

Had a lovely time exploring the beautiful BC coast with Grey Wolf Expeditions. Sandra and the rest of the crew were great hosts. We ate delicious meals every day and slept soundly in our cozy beds. The yoga/meditation/massage topped off the whole experience. Would definitely recommend!
