Green Ginger Photography

A few years ago I first saw Green Ginger’s work featured on Green Wedding Shoes. I absolutely fell in love and knew that eventually when I got married I had to have them. This turned out to be one of the best wedding decisions we made! When we first met up for coffee to chat with Kristina and Josh right away they set the stage for a comfortable, laid back vibe which was very important to the both of us. They were very flexible when it came to our engagement shoot as the original day we planned for ended up pouring buckets out! Thankfully, good weather blessed us on a later date and we had a great time. I originally felt quite nervous being in front of a camera but they both had us laughing within minutes! Leading up to the wedding, Kristina was just amazing! I was able to get ahold of her easily if I had any questions, adding on hours was simple, and the meeting to discuss the timeline completely put me at ease from my frantic state. She helped me with more than just the photography timeline with things like when the flowers should arrive and who should go first for makeup. Then the wedding day itself, just WOW! My absolute favorite thing when working with Green Ginger was the fact that my husband and I were able to just be. Be together, be us, be who we truly are and that just happen to have some photographers tagging along. The posing help they gave was very helpful but didn’t overwhelm us when we just wanted to have those moments. I truly felt the focus on our photos was the two of us and our friends and families instead of having overly posed and “perfect” pictures. A few months later being in a friend’s wedding, I had the exact opposite experience where it felt almost every photo cheesily staged - even my first hug with the bride post ceremony! This just made me eternally grateful to Green Ginger for making our wedding so special. As well, I was very impressed with the way they were able to take a well known photo location and make it completely different. I’ve known of many couples who have the exact same location with the exact same shot, but with Josh and Kristina they made it new and exciting! There was even a bit of a continuation using a covered bridge very similar to our engagement photos and it makes for excellent story telling! This experience of course translated into some of the most beautiful wedding photos I’ve ever seen. It’s been a tough time for me to figure out which pictures to print because I honestly love them all! I could not be more impressed with the quality photographer skills and storytelling ability these too have. Both my husband and I highly recommend Green Ginger Photography for any of your big life moments. We will definitely be contacting them again for future shoots. Thank you to Josh and Kristina for making our day so special and giving us photos to mark those precious moments.

Julia helped make our wedding memorable, and provided excellent quality pictures that we'll cherish forever! She was very responsive to our requests and accommodated us in every way. We didn't do any engagement photos but Julia was still able to work with us and take great pictures on our wedding day. She was very professional throughout the process, including before and after the wedding, and was a pleasure to work with.
