★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I recommend coming to Green Gables over many of the other standard travel options I've experienced. The proprietors offer a personal experience not found at the local hotels. This personal experience includes flexibility, possible rides in bad weather, advice about services, weather, and more. The price is cheaper than many of the hotels in the area; and I found the location perfect for where I needed to go, within walking distance.
They offer a light breakfast option such as oatmeal, muffins, croissants, and fruits. The proprietors would wish me off at the beginning of each day as I went to do my business, a really nice touch. When the weather was icey, they offered me crampons to make sure I wouldn't slip and slide.
To make a reservation, call or email them. I found them not being on major booking sites helpful to keep the direct personal experience.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you are looking for a quaint, historic property to stay at, Green Gables is the place. Green Gables was the perfect place for a relaxing girls weekend and I would recommend it to anyone heading to the Guelph/Kitchener area.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I attended a wonderful wedding at Green Gabels in their lovely garden. It felt like a world away from the surrounding city. The house itself was lovely and exudes all the good things you think of when you picture a B&B in a cozy Victorian house.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Such a beautiful, historic property! I visited while attending an intimate wedding ceremony, and the house and grounds are so lovely. The owners are amazing as well. I didn't stay overnight, so I can't comment on the rooms, but I'd love to come back!
Not a downside, but plan ahead for parking, because there's limited space at the property.
