The person working that day posted a sticky note saying they would be back in 10 minutes. We waited 20 mins and nobody came. The service was not as friendly the last time we came and unfortunately today was a waste of our time. We will not be back.

The service was great! There was a great selection of candy. I was really happy with all the bonbon/softbite flavours, salt water taffy, and of course the licorice. Tried new flavours I didn't even know existed. Everything we bought was much fresher than at any other candy store I've been to. Also great was the ability to stay safe and socially distant. Only one person/family at a time in the store. You can see all the options from the centre. The associate gets you whatever you need from the jars and is wearing gloves. Will be returning.

Have been here many times and they always have a nice selection of chocolates and candy. Unfortunately, one of the staff that works here doesn't seem to like her job or people in general and she has no problems with making it known to the customers. Quite a shame that for a brightly coloured and friendly looking shop on the outside that you can have quite the opposite experience once you are inside. Still worth checking out if you are visiting Granville Island and want a small sugar fix.

Wandered in because the store looked cute - from the outside it looks like a cheerful candy store. Unfortunately what you encounter service-wise inside is the opposite of cheerful. There was only one person serving, they had longer hair and looked like an older person - they seemed somewhere between unenthused and unhappy that they were there. It made the vibe in the store awkward for the people being served and anyone that was waiting. Perhaps they don’t need the business. Consistent with some of the observations from other recent reviewers: no hand sanitizer in sight and the candy is taken out of jars with a gloved hand - the same hand with glove on also handles the credit card machine and whatever else they need to do, transaction after transaction. I bought some licorice, but thinking back about how they went to the bag in writing this review- I don’t feel comfortable eating them, they’ll be going in the bin. The store looks super cute, too bad it’s let down by the staff member that seemed really unhappy and so the awkward mood in the shop - what a downer on a busy Saturday afternoon on the island.

Never found this many licorices in one place. I regularly go and get a $10 bag. Gluten free things as well as other classic candies. Gives me nostalgia for the days when 5 cent candies were a thing. Also, the ladies that run this shop are so darling, they're half the reason I keep going back. Worth a look!

This is our favourite candy shop in Vancouver. It has an inviting and cool atmosphere with friendly staff. My kids love the sweet conversation about the origin of the candies and their particular flavours. What I like the best is to be reminded to set a budget for the kids. ;)

Worst absolutely most horrendous service I've ever received in Vancouver. Ever. And each time I've been back I keep thinking the woman will change her attitude but she is very much stuck up and feels like she is being inconvenienced. Even when she got my order wrong she scolded me and did not apologize, instead she just mentioned what she had thought I wanted and that's why she got it wrong. Doesn't seem like they need the business keeping this lady around as the main staff member who is rude to everyone. Don't waste your time here, head over to the Candy Kitchen in the Public Market instead! Rude rude lady- cannot wait for this place to disappear from the island.

Never a fan of licorice before trying this place. Great set up and atmosphere. The staff at first came off a little moody but turned to being helpful and enthusiastic. It was a pleasant experience. Amazing quality candies. My favorites are the chocolate toffee ones and the regular black licorice. Must visit on your next visit to Granville Island. Will go back to try some other flavors.
