this is a copy of the email I had sent to the property management company. take a read, and see if you really want to live there. Good Morning Monica, As per our discussion yesterday afternoon (5/30/17), please find attached my receipt for the tow, and notice from 2 days later. I was towed on May 25th 2017 @ 825am. The notice marked "final warning" was issued on May 29th 2017. The "final warning" notice says that I will be towed with no warning next time. I did not receive a notice of this nature prior to the initial tow on May 25th 2017. That seems very backwards to me. A final notice is supposed to be issued prior to a tow, not before a tow. My vehicle was towed without my knowledge on the 25th, and cost me $162.10 to take out of impound. I will be referring to Myran Humeniuk when I say the "manager" or "property manager". The reason I've been continually parking in the loading zone is that I strongly feel that a precedent has been set in which we are able to park in the loading zone without fear of being towed away due to the lack of parking. When I signed my lease on July 1st of 2016, there was no parking available, and I was put on a "wait list". I didn't have a preference of above ground or underground parking, I just wanted a spot. The lady that was present when I signed my lease is named Theresa, and she outright told me that if I park in the loading zone or visitor parking, I will not be towed. So I continued to do so, that is until May 25th. The people who live in the Gorge View apartments are typically lower-income earners, and therefor will now have to choose between getting their car out of the impound lot to go to work, and putting food on their table for their spouse or children. That is a very difficult position that the property manager is putting people in. When someone is on a wait list for 11 months, it is completely unfair to tow their vehicle because of a problem that management has created for their own tenants. I continually see empty spots, both above ground and below ground, yet have been on a wait list for 11 months. The landlord has said that people who rent those spots are allowing their friends to park in them due to the lack of parking, but that completely defeats the purpose of an assigned parking spot. The visitor parking should be for the visitors, not the tenants who day in and day out do not feel secure in their own community in regards to parking. When you couple these issues with the fat that the elevator has been broken for over a month now, there is a rodent problem in our buildings, and the hallways + staircases continually have animals pee and poo in them (to the point where it leeches into our suites), it has become an almost unbearable place to live. Personally, I feel bullied, singled out, condescended upon, and feel borderline harassed. I no longer feel safe in my own home, and I know that I am not the only tenant that feels this way. In order to resolve this issue, I would greatly appreciate a full reimbursement for the tow, a guarantee that I will no longer have to choose between getting my car out of impound and putting food on my table, and most importantly, an apology from the manager. The parking issue needs to be sorted out BEFORE cars are towed. I see countless tenants parking at adjacent hotels, which creates further risk of being towed, and we would all greatly appreciate a manager who is more willing to work with us all in this issue rather than creating a larger problem for us. My rent is due tomorrow, and I would like to have this resolved before then, since that $162.10 came out of my rent budget. A deduction from my $890.00 rent would work perfectly for me. Thank you for your time, and I'm sure I greatly appreciate a new sense of security in my own home, as will my fellow tenants.

Management is useless, hot tub is almost always closed for "maintenance". Management randomly out of office during office hours; so if you need them you can never find them. They ask you to pay for parking then do not enforce parking lot rules. Terrible place to live. 1*

There are numerous issues with the management of this building. 1. I was locked out of my suit and after calling the " emergency line " I was informed that although the maintenance and onsite landlord have keys to my suit I would need to call a locksmith.... the lock Smith cannot get me passed the front entrance without land lord approval so I was left homeless for the night. When trying to express my fear of being stuck on the streets ( I am a small framed female and this is a scary neighborhood riddled with drug addicts ) the " emergency operator " actually hung up the phone on me after yelling and arguing with me that im in the wrong for expecting my onsite land lord to give me access. 2. I have had a water leak in my suit for months that no one will deal with 3. There is an extra lack of working washing machines although the hook update available 4. The neighboring housing is an infestation of drug addicts and drunks. The noise levels and trash is a huge issue! 5. They give few few options for paying rent and are only open 830 - 430 monday to friday business hours including around the 1st of the month. I actually have to take time off of work and loose money so I can pay my rent. If the office staff want to work such cushy hours perhaps offering more payment options would make life easier on tenants!!!

Everybody smokes in smoking-free building. Cigarettes and weed. So loud people screaming and laughing at night. 3a.m.? Easily. No air conditioners at all. For some reason when it's 18 outside it's +30 inside. But you can't open window because of many people are too loud at night. They have a parking lots for guests with a sign that says 'if you leave a car here after 11 p.m. it will be towed'. But nothing is towed. Guests put their car in front of your window and then at 3 a.m. they leave screaming in from of your windows. Some woman laugh all day long crazy loudly. Some man sometimes starts going crazy at night on weekends and every tenant has to listen to it. Saturday and Sunday are the most crazy days. It reminds me a pub sometimes. I hope the new landlords will do something with all these problems or I will have to leave it pretty soon.

This building complex is not a good place to live. They allow pets, which is great, but the buildings are not well-maintained and the property manager, Catherine Garden, is extremely condescending. I lived there for 5 years and the building has a rodent issue for several of these years, it was not properly cleaned and when the elevator was out of service for over 8 weeks we were only offered a $25 gift card to save-on foods in compensation (and only if we complained!). I left about a year ago and I am SO glad to be out of that place.

Adequate. The owners tend to stay on top of maintenance, and these buildings are dog- and cat-friendly up to a 25-lb animal. However, the building doesn't have adequate parking for all the tenants, and there are only about 15 guest spots for close to 300 residences. If your friends want to visit you, you'd better tell them to take the bus!

They deny women and children a home to live in. Very sad. I make over 7000$ a month with my wife and they didn’t think we are good enough. Pretty egotistical coming from a building that is notorious for drug use. The landlord Bryan is a coward and won’t give you an adequate explanation of why you we’re denied. Very sad.
