Best moving company! The men were professional and knew what they were doing. Very hard working and efficient. And most importantly everything got moved in one piece and no dents in the walls. I will definitely use this company again.

-asked about professional movers when first making inquiry: paid for 3 professional movers. One seemed very new (showed signs of possible substance abuse issues) -on initial inquiry, asked about policy regarding smoke breaks. I was told they would pack up the truck, then take a smoke break on the way from first place to second place. They took at least 3 smoke breaks over the course of the move. -we were told an 8:00am start time. I had not even received a phone call saying anyone would be late. By 8:30am I phoned and spoke to the owner, who said "we are coming", and explained it was hard to get some of the guys up on the weekend because they were working late the night before. The crew didn't show up until just before 10:00am, basically 2 hours late -when driver showed up, he tried to back the truck over the front walkway and between two boxwood trees (which the truck was obviously too big to fit between). We had to stop him because he had already broken a few branches -at the new place, he parked very awkwardly on the grass, not the driveway. It became very awkward to get the furniture out so they had to stop everything and move the truck again, which wasted more time that I was paying for. It was very unorganized (the person in charge was inside the back of the truck instead of giving directions), and the driver came very close to hitting the concrete garden wall. I had to stop him and go over basic signals because he wasn't listening to them when I was trying to assist him in backing up. I spent a number of years as a truck driver, and he definitely did not appear to be a professional. -when it came time to wrapping everything up, the person in charge came in and went over the paperwork for me to sign and collect money, while the other two were finishing off (they were supposed to be bringing the boxes through the side door on the house and down the stairs into the basement. I didn't realize until the following morning that they had left 4 boxes outside by the side door of the house, instead of bringing them inside and downstairs like the rest of the boxes. All of our financial documents were inside one of those boxes, and they ended up spending the whole night outside -a couple of the items were damaged in the move -a called a few days after the move to speak to the owner about the experience. The receptionist said he would call me back. He never did. I called him back several weeks later and finally got him on the phone. He accepted no responsibility as the owner of the company. I told him my frustrations at paying for 3 professional movers per hour, when that's not what I was getting. Instead he continually asked me questions that weren't relevant (such as which other moving companies did you call before) and tried to tell me that by booking with them, I was giving them permission to park wherever they wanted because of the ramp they needed to use. (There was plenty of room on the driveway; they did not have to completely park on the grass.) The owner of the company would not listen at all, instead was completely argumentative. Please don't waste your money. Pay a little bit more for a professional moving company (even if it's only for two movers). Horrible customer service from the owner. I will be filing a complaint with the BBB.

Hi, I got moved into my new home by Good Place Moving. The crew was very friendly, clean and gave off good vibes. I was moved on time and under budget. In the past, other companies just did their job minimally but these people i hired took care of my stuff and I'm proud to say their was no damage. Recommended 12/10

I was very pleased with the level of service I received with my move from Chilliwack to Abbotsford. The movers were very pleasant and very efficient. They took care to ensure our items were packed carefully in to the truck and unloaded safely to avoid damage. The truck arrived clean and with all the moving essentials we needed. Moving is normally such a hassle, but Good Place Movers were able to make the experience easy and stress free. Thanks again!!

The guys we're helpful friendly and very professional. They handled my stuff with care and went out of their way and very on schedule. Thank you for not being rip off artists like most moving companies.

We had a horrible experience with Good Place Movers out of Chilliwack on Nov. 29th. They cancelled on my sister due to their trucks all being in Abby after the hwy 1 closed. I was reassured they could move us & they had trucks in Chilliwack. Apparently, they had all 3 trucks moving people out of Chilliwack on that w/e! Didn't they listen to the weather reports for that w/e with impending hwy 1 closure??? They didn't even have the decency to tell us. My sister phoned them on Nov. 29th to see where they were. They first offered her to take the Mission hwy and charge extra & then said they couldn't because it was closed (it wasn't). Movers are essential & he said that to my sister, even though they didn't take the Mission hwy. We asked why would he use all his trucks in Abby and not keep one back in Chilliwack. I was reassured when I booked them they had trucks in Chilliwack & could move us in Chilliwack. We scrambled to find an alternative way to move her & we did late in the day. It was an extremely stressful experience. They offered to do it the next day, but that didn't work for us & we already found a way to do the move. I stand corrected, they did refund me the $100 deposit. Thank you. Still not a good experience. Never again would I use them or recommend this company!

This moving company was the best experience I’ve ever had. They helped move our office from Abbotsford to Chilliwack and took great care in their work. Professional, reliable and honest movers.
