GOLF CLUB BEL-AIR

Course is in good shape. Beautiful in the Fall. Some easy short holes but some challenging holes with difficult green placement. The reason for the 2 stars is I booked a 1:10pm tee time however did not tee off until 1:40pm. The course was over booked. The green fee is very good for that type of course. The main reason for the 2 stars was one of the Marshalls an older gentlemen was very rude and disrespectful. After 18 holes we were in the parking lot chatting and he came yelling to get off the property (yes they were closing). However the manner and tone and continuous yelling was unnecessary from this Marshall (poor customer service)

Nice golf course. Well priced and good value. Busy on the weekend.

We as a group (2 -3 foursomes age from 53-60 yrs old) play different golf courses each week .We are friends that play with our wives . Believe it or not the marshal came and see us(before paying) in parking to worn us before the round that nobody will be tolerated in parking after the round and no alcoholic beverages allowed during round and certainly not after. As a group were insulted in the way the message was brought upon us and not the message as is. So we give 0 stars to this golf for customer service and probably 2.5 stars out of 5 for the golf ! Don't have to tell you that we are never going back there again!! By the way I dont drink !! The aggressive marshal was probably the worst person that I ever seen do this job in my entire life interacting with many different types of occupations!! Don't go there if you want to be treated like a normal person!!

I am torn on how to write this review as I had a different experience with different staff members, however, ultimately I can’t justify a review above 1 star at the moment. I will start by saying the man at the front was professional. When we arrived (14:30) i mentioned our group were beginners, we were told not to worry as we were the last reservation, no one is behind, just to be in before 18:00. At hole 5 (2 hours in) a marshall approached us and very rudely said we were too slow to hurry up. We said we understand we’ll pick up the pace. While lining up to swing he shouted from his cart asking what we are waiting for. I started to tell him what we were told upon arrival however very rudely he cut me off said “just golf dont worry about talking” and drove off. He returned before we could make a second stroke on that same hole to essentially tell us we are bad golfers. At this point I was livid. He proceeded to tell the group behind us (who we had also came with as we were 7 people) that they should not golf on professional golf courses and not even think of playing during the day. Its almost as if we picked a late tee time for that exact reason. Additionally, it is completely unacceptable to say anything to this effect. I would like to note the rules on their site, upon booking state: bookings after 14:00 can only be 9 holes and the maximum time allowed to play your game is 4.5 hours. Both of which we had followed. *** update *** It is understandable for the time limit, although disappointing after being told not to stress. Indeed one of our members did apologize for that as we understand it is long, however it is no excuse to be spoken to in the way we were, especially when our initial response was extremely polite. As i mentioned we did have a positive experience with the man who greeted us an led us onto the course, however it’s discouraging to see that the response to all dissatisfied review is only oppositional and does not begin consider that there may be some improvements in politeness towards clientele.

Beautiful golf course with a reasonable price

The course is mostly well kept...Most of the staff members are nice and professional EXCEPT one of the OWNERS DAUGHTERS who works at the “restaurant” who is rude to her customers, very confrontational and no professionalism whatsoever. My husband and I, along with other friends would golf there a minimum of three times a month and spent so much money playing at this golf course but we decided along with the same few friends to boycott this golf course. Very unfortunate because we enjoyed playing there but will not tolerate and accept the way we were treated. There were other customers around that witnessed the particular situation and were also surprised at how rude she was. then when we asked her for an order at the restaurant she refused to serve us and told us she was closed and then served another customer drinks and food right after us. After reading the responses of “The Owner” on some of the other reviews, you can tell how unprofessional they are! Obviously they cannot take constructive criticism and I can bet it’s that girl at the restaurant/canteen (owner’s daughter) that’s responding and not fully understanding their customers reviews and complaints. ***TO THE OWNERS DAUGHTERS RESPONSE BELOW*** Since I can not reply to your comment Im adding to my comment. Never were we aggressive . You showed aggression and rudeness off the start because we asked for an umbrella for the patio table since it had started raining a little and you became irritated. They’re were witnesses. As I stated you started being confrontational and refused to serve us....as per the cans they were thrown on the floor to be picked up by YOU and never at the employee or employees ..stop lying and exaggerating and playing the victim. Your pathetic and need professional help and hopefully you will seek some. Your lucky you’re working for your father because your attitude would not be tolerated at any other company and would be fired. Have a great day ?

Had a great day at Bel-Air golf course. Staff was very nice. Surprised by the quality for the price we paid. Great course! We will go again. No hesitation, 5 stars!

I played with my son aged 13, no problems whatsoever. A really nice course in my opinion. A good mix of holes and with a couple of exceptions (eg hole 18 ?), the fairways are quite forgiving for regular ball losers like myself. The staff were also all really nice although one of the Marshall’s did look a bit scary…but we chatted him up because of the reviews we’d read and he did actually smile briefly ? excellent day out and a nice little pro shop and cafe as well. Will definitely go back.
