Golden Eagle Golf Club

Nice to get out with my old golf buddies and work out the body kinks and work on the golf game, the swing and feel around the greens on this double golf course. Golden Eagle has 2 full 18s. North and South course. we played the North course. friendly and helpful staff. there's road construction so make sure to check their website for the detour... goes from paved to off road driving for a long stretch. social distancing measures in place. fairway conditions were lush. greens were slick. we got hungry after the walk... put in almost 20000 steps on my fitness watch. golden eagle wings are $13 and they filled the void in the tummy. yummy! Brian stuck this KP nicely on a par 3 which i captured with my Canon SX50. my settings were left on blue because I was playing with the full moon ? last weekend. fun round at Golden Eagle.

My husband and I just got married at Golden Eagle Golf Club on September 12, 2020. Due to COVID, we actually ended up cancelling our original ceremony/reception plans at a different venue and calling up GEGC in May to rebook just a ceremony. We chose this site because they had a large, covered outdoor space and a ceremony only option. The deck and tented area is perfect for physical distancing your guests and can be used rain or shine, so no need to come up with a weather plan 'B' for your special day. The ceremony package included white folding chairs, a speaker if you needed it, registry signing table with linen, easels for your signs, more tables with linens if you needed them (to put out favors, guestbook, etc.). Lorae was who we initially spoke to and met for the tour but Lamica was our actual Wedding Coordinator. She was awesome! I think I must have sent her over 20 emails between June and our wedding day with tons of questions. She answered them always within a day. She helped us arrange a champagne toast after our ceremony with our guests and even helped us arrange dinner for after our rehearsal with only a few days notice. We ate with our wedding party out on the ceremony deck, so everyone could space out and ordered food from the on site restaurant. It was all individually packaged and she even setup a few tables and chairs for us to use. Lamica setup all of our decor, favors, etc. on the day of the wedding and I could relax getting ready with my girls because I knew we were in good hands. Her communication was great and she is extremely organized. Everything went perfectly and If we had to complain about anything, it would be the poor Wi-Fi/cellular signal connection. With COVID, we were hoping to live stream our ceremony to guests that we couldn't have there in person and we couldn't do it. We recorded it then posted it afterward, which was still fine but a live stream would have been nice. All in all though, 5 star experience with the team at GEGC! :)

Golden Eagle Golf Club is a nice golf club to visit and to enjoy a happy hour meal with a friend in the patio on a sunny day! Pretty scenic views! I have just made a video and posted in YouTube. Welcome to watch it under my name Cindy Amimer.

Played as a 2-some. My playing partner requires a cart due to his age/body. I walk the course. Online booking won’t let you book half a cart, so we payed for $50 for a cart and then asked the pro shop if they could refund us $25 for me as I wasn’t riding the cart. We were told that half-cart is $35(are you kidding me?), and that it’s a $10 PROCESSING FEE to refund you money, so it would have cost my playing partner $45 to ride in “half a cart”. What a joke! Not to mention the course conditions are mediocre at best. You’re better off to drive 2 minutes further to a proper course.

Great staff and a great golf course. I prefer the South, but the North has those views! A nice little gem 15 min away from my house. Can't wait to be back!

Booked for up to 5 foursomes 2 months in advance to play once in May and June, found out 2 days before we played the May date that we paid $10 more than their regular price to book in advance. Asked the event coordinator why, he replied because that’s our policy. You get nothing extra for your extra cost. What the? Event coordinator said in email that the kitchen would be open when we arrived after our round. We arrived at 7:40 and were told they are serving pizza only. What the? Event coordinator in good faith comped a power cart for a player who had a bad ankle. Game day another player had an injury and wanted to share said power cart. That’ll be $25 plus tax. What the? Many other policies they have are complicated and hard to complete when you deal with large groups of golfers. Such as: need final numbers needed a week in advance pay in full 4 days in advance. $200 deposit (he waved it for me after I complained) I have never dealt with a Golf Course like this before when booking for up to 20 golfers in advance, usually we get a deal and their eager to please. Sadly our group will not be returning for this type of treatment. ( I will return to golf as a foursome )

South Course. A few very nice scenery. But fairways and greens status need better maintenance. Transitions from hole to another hole present some danger (watch out flying balls!).

Just played the South Course over the weekend for the first time. The course itself is quite nice and scenic. The greens fairly well kept, and decent amount of physical washrooms especially for women Normally I'd give it a four star, but I'm still not a fan of courses charging full course fee up front when booking. The other little annoyance but this is totally not the course's fault is the front 9 (and then part of back 9) is beside a nearby shooting range, so that's a bit odd too Generally though, I would consider playing this place again
