★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Showing its age. Our community needs an upgraded facility with multiple ice surfaces, better design (think Cayuga) and perhaps with indoor soccer field and swimming pool. Google Millenium Place in Sherwood Park, AB to see the kind of facility we need in Binbrook.

the glanbrook arena and auditorium (GAA) serves as a hockey rink, open skate facility and community hall for the binbrook and surrounding areas. the junior C glanbrook rangers play their home games at GAA.
i mainly go to the GAA to support and watch my friend's kids who play hockey.
the GAA was built in 1975. while it is certainly dated, the property imo has been kept in good shape for its age. there is a food service that is open with limited hours. dressing rooms and washrooms have been kept in good shape over the years. parking is free and plentiful on the property.
people: most are polite, some stay to themselves and some are xenophobic. the food servers are young teenagers that are relatively nice and polite; the rink maintenance guys are at best polite and at worst not people-oriented.
drawback: only full seating on one side of the rink, with limited seating on one end behind the net.
bottom line: while i do not live in binbrook, i would continue to visit the GAA to watch hockey games.
