I cannot say enough about Matt and his knowledge and experience! He took on a job other companies would not. He was asked to assist with another tree service company to get the job done safe. He went way beyond the required job!!! Amazed by his work and knowledge. I highly recommend Matt and his company!!

Fast, efficient, clean, polite, and affordable, they really are the best. Matt’s crew did a wonderful job taking down a tree in my backyard. It was pretty tight quarters, but they very efficiently and quickly took it down piece by piece and cleaned up well afterwards. I’m a very satisfied customer.

Matt and his crew have been our go-to Arborist's for many years for all our Strata needs and also for private work. Today I needed my beautiful tree dealt with because it was leaning toward a neighbouring fence. Matt's crew took the time to assess the situation and gently tied the limb back to redirect the growth, rather than just automatically cutting off a large branch because I didn't want it cut unless absolutely necessary. The crew made sure they checked in with me before they left to ensure I was happy and to check if I needed anything else done. My tree is very happy, I am very happy and once again, I am reminded of why we always choose Give and Take Tree Service. We have hired Give and Take Tree Service on several occasions over the past four years and have always been impressed by the knowledge, skill, and professionalism of Matt and his team. We have utilized his company for hedge trimming, tree removal, branch pruning, and stump grinding. Matt is an experienced, highly skilled arborist who goes above and beyond, even delivering bark mulch and helping us plant a new tree in a landscaped area of our front yard. He clearly loves what he does and it shows! The Give and Take crew are fast, efficient, courteous, and reasonably priced. And when the job is done, the yard is left clean and tidy. Give and Take Tree Service is exactly that kind of service you really want to find and work with. We just did tree removal and stump/roots removal yesterday, we were so impressed by the excellent job done by Matthew and his team. We experienced what is professional. Their work is fast, highly efficient, very clean after removing the tree and stump. The price is very reasonable. We will definitely look for them again for any tree service needed. Matt was by far the fastest to respond when I contacted several arborists for quotes on a tree removal and this was a big part of the reason we went with Give and Take in the end. We had a very large, very dead cedar removed from directly next to our home. He and his crew were very efficient and removed the tree with speed and confidence. On request, his crew even made a huge chair from the stump for my kids to enjoy. I would use them again and recommend them to others!

Have to add an edit: Please read this as well as the prior positive one: I contacted Matt about a tall dangerous tree on our property and wanted an opinion on how/if it can come down. We arranged a time for him to look, after i finished some errands i had to run, but when I sent a text that I was home he said he could not come. Said he would come a few days later. NEVER SHOWED UP, NEVER CALLED, NEVER TEXTED. This seems to be so common now since Covid...people say one thing and never bother to actually do it, and I am tired of it. Hence I am leaving a bad review now. I had him come to remove trees before and also for an emergency removal early this year when trees fell onto our house. I would think SOME respect to me should be shown and at least contact me if unable to make the appointment so i am not waiting around wondering. COURTESY is lacking. It is now five days since he said he would show up and no call or anything. WE had three trees that needed to come down. One dead hemlock was close to a lot of electrical overhead wires. Matt made it look simple to take it down. Another was in very steep terrain and quite near the house, pool and our bridge over a creek, so my concern was making sure it was taken down accurately. Again Matt made it look simple. The trickiest one was a partly dead hemlock that was cracked and in the midst of one of our gardens and one of our koi ponds. We did not want to see any damage to the pond, the rockwork, or the plants under and around the tree. Again Matt took this tree down with absolutely no damage at all. Travis who works with Matt was meticulous in the cleanup. I was left with NOTHING to cleanup which I truly appreciate. I would very highly recommend Give and Take Tree service for any job you need done and I will most certainly hire them again for the next job at our place.

Matt and his crew are highly professional. When I first met Matt to do an estimate to trim a huge cedar that was set on my neighbours property but overhanging my pool. He was on time and right away you can tell he was experienced and knew what it would take to get the job done. He had the expertise to let me know what was going to happen to the tree and the surrounding landscape - especially the pool. We set a date that day for a few weeks out. On the day he and his crew rolled in with a truck and were ready to start. They took care of everything and I mean everything - they did the said job and cleaned up everything - even the pool and the drive way. I will use him again and again. Highly recommend!!!
