★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Service is awesome! Portions are big and the meat is delicious. They will serve you pickles (which are delicious), bread, butter and bacon bits when you arrive, a sorbet after your appetizer and some mint chocolates after you finish your dish.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Expensive and It has lost its flavourful over the years. We've had much better steaks elsewhere. Staff hurrying between tables is noisy and affects the atmosphere. Too bad, we were looking forward to our dinner.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Gibbys is usually one of those restaurants that is consistent. We go there when we’re in the mood for a good steak. Yesterday was different the service wasn’t great although I think everyone’s doing their best the service just wasn’t good. We ordered the New York sirloin medium and it came to us rare. We returned it and got back the same steak burned black and dry inside. Our friends who we walked in were at a separate table because of covid restrictions and they got their meal at 10 pm. We were all with kids so we thought getting food at 10 pm was just unreasonable. We were all staying at a hotel nearby and when we met for breakfast the next morning we all recounted how disappointed we were with the resto and how we will no longer visit the st sauver location.

The restaurant decor has not been changed in many years, if ever, which could have been overlooked if the food and customer service had been good. When we first got there, our service was excellent! Very attentive. As the restaurant got busier, the service declined drastically. We started with the wedge salad which was excellent! The best blue cheese dressing I have had with large chunks of blue cheese. My husband had steak and I had lobster. The steak was an inferior cut for almost $70 and not well cooked. The Monte Carlo potato was delicious. The lobster was over-cooked. The broccoli was mushy and the asparagus was rock hard. A disappointing meal in a restaurant well know for good food. Our first and last time.

Started our dining experience with the usual Gibby's pickles, hot bread with butter and side bacon.
The Gibby's salad never disappoints and our server was quick to bring us a more dressing as he love the house dressing !
My spouse had the beef wellington and it was tender as could be with a beautiful crust.
My steak with pepper sauce was also cooked to perfection with a nice crust and pepper sauce was just right.
Service was efficient and cordial as one would expect from this institution.
